The filet was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. Carmen and Jonathan were out servers and they were very attentive and friendly. This is it first time staying at Barcelo and I will stay here again. Very highly recommend! Trying the remaining restaurants later this week.

Jazon was my favorite waiter here at the Japanese restaurant. He was very personable, funny, & extremely generous! He made our whole day just amazing. We had a rough day with a few things, but Jaxon managed to save our day & make us feel super taken care of. He was so sweet with our 3 year old, she was sleepy and cranky but he took such amazing care of her that she was so happy at dinner and actually ate her dinner! We love him & wish we could have him every night!

The buffet food was terrible, the staff were unfriendly, and every day we had to struggle just to get towels. Housekeeping didn’t actually clean the rooms, only emptied the trash. Overall, we were very disappointed. Understaffed..

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Just straight rude from the get go. We wanted to upgrade and were told we couldn't. Tried to get a room off the main floor so it would be quieter at night, as we aren't late people. Abagail at the front desk told me to just go sit down. 15 minutes later, no one came to see me so I called the customer service number. Zivi was rude as could be, told me all the other rooms were dirty and there was nothing she could do about it, then hung up on me. Finally serzian finally came over after I saw him and flagged him over and he said there are other people in the hotel and there was nothing he could do about it. Honestly do yourself a favor and spend a bit more money at the Riu. The food there is amazing and the staff there was the best I've ever had. If I could have rated this place 0 stars. Would have. Don't recommend at all. Worst stay I've ever had. Ended up eating off of resort after paying for all inclusive.

Aside from the very friendly bartenders and wait staff, the hotel is disgusting, the rooms haven’t been updated in 10+ years, the liquor is watered down and just gross, not worth your money to stay here.

The food and drinks were great as always. Geraldo was an excellent server at Mexico Lindo. Hendrick was an excellent bartender. Vanessa was a wonderful bar server. Paris was also an excellent bar tender. Carolina was great at the omelette station each morning. Unfortunately, some of the facilities are not being maintained appropriately and the quality of the buildings and facilities are starting to slip. This is compounded by the loud sound of construction coming from the lot next door beginning at 6 each morning. Overall, wonderful trip, but I would consider going to a newer resort on my next trip to Aruba.

I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this place is so far behind its prime that it deserves one. I’ve taken small groups to the Caribbean for years and was hoping to find a new resort to enjoy, but this one totally missed the mark. It might be one of the worst resorts I’ve ever been to. My guests had the same experience. The staff was friendly, but nothing special like I’ve seen at other resorts. The bartenders were a lot of fun, and the guy on the beach who waited on us was really cool. They seem to enjoy their jobs. My room was basic as it could have been. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a power station next to the bed. The mini-bar (small fridge) had only two beers, two cans of Coke, and two cans of Sprite. It also had two tiny bottles of water. The coffee pot was old and barely brewed coffee. There wasn’t a coffee station in the lobby, so I couldn’t get a self-serve cup. The chair in the room was worn out, but my bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. My shower didn’t drain, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall as I was using it, and the soap dispenser fell apart as I pressed it for some soap. Speaking of soap, it was basic here. I told the staff about the floor drain and they fixed it, but they left the coat hanger they used to clean the drain in my room. The room service was a bit of a letdown. The trash stayed in my room for the entire four nights, and the washcloths were never replaced. The coffee and water from the mini-bar fridge were also never refilled. I had to ask for more on the second day, but they didn’t bring any again throughout my stay. My towels were pretty worn out, with frayed edges and stains. They did smell clean, though. One of my guests didn’t get any replacement towels and didn’t realize it until they got out of the shower. When they asked the front desk for more, they said they’d bring them in a few hours, even though they needed them right away so they could shower. A hand towel was enough for the guest, but the other guest had to go to the pool to get a beach towel (and had to return it after the shower so they could get their towel card back). I only ate at the resort for lunch on the first day, and the food was pretty bland. There was chicken, a salad bar, soups, and rice. Hot dogs and chicken strips are also available. They also had cookies and other small desserts. Since we wanted to eat on property for breakfast and lunch (why I chose the all-inclusive), we didn’t after that experience and ate every other meal off-property. One of my guests said he went for breakfast one day and it took three tries to make an over-easy egg. Another guest said the food was ‘okay’. Bring your own cup because the cups provided by the resort are only 6 ounces. If you like the smell of dank, you’ll be happy because it was very present on my floor, and there was also a lack of respect for guests at 2 am. Security wasn’t much help in getting things quiet, but I appreciated them because they’re around the pr
