We loved our recent stay at The St. Regis Aruba. This hotel is new and is a luxury beachfront resort. The views were amazing, with the coral-blue Caribbean and the white sandy beaches. We stayed on the fourth floor and were very impressed with the personal touches and flawless service that we experienced thanks to Mildred and Gerard. They really took great care of us throughout the week that we were there. We only wish that we could have stayed longer.

We only wish we could have stayed longer - supreme service from the staff, especially at the outdoor bar and DIEGO at the St Regis bar. Personalized, lovely stat.

Drinks and sushi at the bar was fabulous! Diego took the best care of us and did a fantastic job! He even presented us with a special dessert for our anniversary and made a rose from a napkin. What a special and memorable evening! We will be back and hope to see Diego again!

LUCY! She’s amazing. So kind and welcoming. Our honeymoon was complete because of her kindness. 10/10 solely because of the people like her

Hotel was really nice. Rooms and lobby were really impressive. Pool and beach were a bit small but also very nice. Service was really poor. Housekeeping wouldn't actually replace anything unless you called them specially to ask for it - (tissues, shampoo, etc.). Food was expensive and below average. Menus were very limited. Service at the restaurants were very friendly but extremely slow. Getting a salad at lunch often took over an hour. On my way out, I shared some of this feedback and Director said she would call me and never did. I would recommend staying at the Ritz if you want high end in Aruba.

This newly opened hotel leaves much to be desired. Ultimately, my fiancé and I chose to leave this hotel and relocate to the Hyatt Regency. (Review to follow) At a glance this hotel is impeccably clean and well maintained, offering a very modern style with breathtaking oceans views. It is centrally located to shops and restaurants. We have stayed in many top-tier hotels and traveled extensively, but unfortunately, my experience did not align with the luxurious and refined standards I associate with the St. Regis brand. The service did not reflect the brand’s promise to deliver curated experiences which separates them from other upper echelon hotels. Here’s why: Staff & Service: This is the primary area requiring much improvement. At the beach bar, our food order was completely forgotten, and the drinks were subpar, requiring us to send them back because either the bartender did not know how to make a simple Mai-Tai, for example. We also learned that a menu item was unavailable only after the rest of our lunch was served. While the manager did offer to comp our meal, this gesture felt unnecessary had the staff been properly trained and attentive. A consistent issue throughout our stay was the frequent congregating of staff members, often engaging in relentless gossip. My fiancé even overheard two staff members discussing the body part size of a guest, which is highly unprofessional. Communication: Information about hotel services and policies was also lacking. We were not informed that the hotel is cashless until we attempted to pay at the beach bar. We discovered the Italian restaurant was closed during certain weekdays only upon arrival to the restaurant, and digital menus were unavailable anywhere. Furthermore, we were only informed that room service ends at 11 PM when we attempted to place an order. The lobby sushi restaurant felt like an afterthought kiosk, more akin to a fast-food establishment. While the food was delicious, the portions were very small for the high price. This, along with the rooftop restaurant, were our only dining options during the week. Amenities: The amenities also fell short of expectations. The "convenience store" was anything but convenient, offering an excessive amount of St. Regis branded items but a very limited selection of sunscreen, essential snacks and basic necessities. The beach chairs were positioned too close together, forcing us to create our own pathway to the water, and the area lacked a palapa-style setup. The pools were all similar in shape, making the area uninviting. Additionally, the hotel's claim of a serene and calming vibe was difficult to reconcile with the party music emanating from the adjacent RIU hotel for most of the day. While I understand that new hotels require adjustments during their initial stages, the overall impression left was one of profound disappointment, which simply does not align with the St. Regis brand promise. Although our feedback was received, the fundamental

The St. Regis Aruba is a truly beautiful property, with a welcoming team that made our stay exceptional. The rooms were immaculate, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Gerard Halley—his local knowledge is impressive. He recommended fantastic restaurants, must-see spots around the island, vibrant nightlife, and even guided us to the best places for luxury shopping. Gerard is without a doubt a valuable asset to the St. Regis.

Bottom Line Upfront: While I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, I do think the St. Regis is worth a visit while the property is still new and fresh. LOCATION: The St. Regis has a more central location than the Ritz-Carlton, with easier access to restaurants and nightlife. However, that comes with trade-offs. It’s located in a very active—and at times overcrowded—section of the beach, right next to the Riu, a high-energy hotel. I often heard loud music and guest activities from the Riu while relaxing at the pool at the St. Regis. In contrast, the Ritz is more secluded with no immediate neighbors, offering a far more serene and peaceful experience. Since I value quiet and relaxation on vacation, I give the edge to the Ritz on location. CHECK-IN: The staff was friendly, and I was greeted by a “butler” upon arrival. However, I wasn’t offered an upgrade and had to wait for my room to be cleaned. In contrast, during multiple stays at the Ritz, I’ve consistently received early check-in and complimentary room upgrades without asking. The Ritz also offers additional perks based on your Marriott status—such as discounts at the spa and on retail purchases—which were not offered at the St. Regis. I give the edge to The Ritz. ROOMS: For a newly opened hotel, the rooms at the St. Regis don’t feel especially modern. The décor is somewhat drab and plain, lacking the elevated design one might expect from a new high-end property. The room layout also feels awkward, which makes the space seem smaller than it may actually be. In comparison, while the rooms at the Ritz are slightly dated, they are more spacious, well-appointed, and clearly maintained to a high standard. One area where I felt St. Regis noticeably cut corners was the bathroom shower. While there is both a rainfall showerhead and a handheld option, the handheld fixture is oddly stationary. Typically, these are mounted on an adjustable pole to accommodate different heights and preferences. Ironically, the spa showers at the St. Regis are far superior to those in the guest rooms and would’ve been a better choice for in-room amenities. One positive of the room is that the bed faces the balcony, allowing you to wake up to ocean views—a lovely touch. However, due to the room’s configuration, the TV partially obstructs the balcony doors, which takes away from the view. Slight edge to the Ritz. POOLS: Upon check-in, the butler proudly mentioned the hotel has nine pools—but in reality, it’s closer to six. Still, that’s an impressive number, and overall, the pools are a highlight of the property. The design and layout are beautiful and offers a mix of kid-friendly and adult-only pool areas. That said, the Ritz takes it a step further by physically separating their adult and family pool areas, which greatly reduces the chance of kids wandering into adult spaces. One small gripe about the pool areas: the lounge chairs are not cushioned. They’re seemingly standard in appearance, but noticeably less comfortable tha
