"Simply put, I was disappointed by the ladies and gentlemen who organize Extra Adventures, dressed up in TUI clothing, because they don't even know what time the Kids Club opens. Yet they still sold me something, even though they knew I wanted to take my 5-year-old to the Kids Club at that time, while I wanted to go jet-skiing with my 11-year-old—but the Kids Club closed at 9 a.m. I also booked a car that was supposed to come to the hotel. Instead, they were supposed to pick me up from the hotel and take me somewhere else to complete the paperwork. This was, of course, problematic because the children were still asleep in the hotel room at that time. As a single father, this is understandably impossible for me. One particularly negative point is that all the sunbeds are permanently reserved (they start before 6 a.m.)—mostly by German citizens, who are always and regularly unpleasantly conspicuous."

"I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I chose it based on my previous positive experiences with Meliá hotels around the world—from Dubai to Zanzibar—but unfortunately, this location fell far below those standards. The only positives were the entrance and the Ginger Bar. Beyond that, the overall quality of the hotel was very poor. Many of the staff seemed disengaged and unwilling to help, which made the experience even more frustrating. The food was especially disappointing. I ordered a burger that arrived practically raw. When I sent it back, they returned the same half-eaten burger, simply reheated—not properly cooked. I also received the wrong side (sweet potato fries instead of regular fries), and within seconds of raising this, they brought back fries that were undercooked and cold. A hot dog I ordered was also of extremely low quality and served cold I ordered pint they delivered it and said unfortunately it’s glass so we can’t leave the pint with you will come back. When You Need more they never came back. I paid for a pint only got a cup. I stayed at the hotel to support my mother, who is injured and a blue badge holder. Despite booking a double room, I was asked to pay an additional £35 per night for food and £50 per night just to be a guest. While I understand policies, this felt unreasonable given the circumstances. Accessibility was another major issue. The lifts were not working, making it very difficult for my mother to move around, as she had to rely on the stairs. Additionally, there was constant noise from drilling in the mornings, which made it hard to rest. Communication was also challenging, as many staff members had limited English, making it difficult to raise concerns. While the manager did reach out to me at the end of my stay, it was too late, as I had already left. Although she provided her business card and suggested another Meliá property, my experience here has made me hesitant to trust the brand again. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, especially considering the price. There are better and more affordable options nearby—I would personally choose H10 hotels instead, which offer better value and are closer to the beach."

"A beautiful complex with a heated pool. If you have trouble with steps, this isn't the place for you. Unfortunately, the parking lot is too small. Excellent breakfast, huge room with a sea view, unfortunately marred by a fence. Otherwise, it's quiet and pleasant! The beach is magnificent, just below the public building, but so large that there's no problem with space."

H10 Tindaya Hotels in Pajara

"We booked a so called double superior room with ocean view. Opposite to the description and photos on the web site, the balcony front of our room was so high, that we could not see the ocean while sitting on the balcony, much less from our room. Instead, only a stone wall. What we did get free of charge is cigarette smoke from the room/balcony next door. The smoke entered the room even with the balcony door closed. Upon arrival with our rental car, instead of receiving a friendly greeting, we were asked by a hotel representative standing outside the front entrance to leave immediately, because a bus may not be able to pass through while we were checking in. In addition, the inside of the entrance was guarded by a security person armed with a baton. First time I have ever seen this in a 4 star hotel The reception at check-in was not able to provide a baggage trolley or anything of equal use for us to bring suitcases to our room. Out of the three outdoor pools, one was filled with cold salt water, one was fenced off for “privilege” bookings only (also a first time experience for me), and only one small pool remained for normal, expected use. The advertised beach access to Sotavento Beach did not exist, The beach directly accessible from the hotel was rather small. Food quality was generally poor. In addition, even a simple afternoon quest for ice cream was unsuccessful. Vanilla soft ice was the only item this place had to offer. The so called “All inclusive drinks” included a Coca Cola soft-drink array, one white and one red wine, and water. We left after the first night."

"This hotel has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it falls well short because of poor customer service and inconsistent standards. The positives were the lovely pool, good cocktails, and a hardworking animation team. The sunshine and swimming made the holiday enjoyable despite everything else. The biggest disappointment was the reception staff. They were consistently unhelpful, inflexible, and seemed completely uninterested in customer satisfaction. Nothing was ever straightforward, and even a smile appeared to be too much to ask. The restaurant staff were also slow, with tables left uncleared for long periods and little friendliness. The bar staff were at least more welcoming. The entertainment team put in plenty of effort, but the programme was repetitive. During our stay, Barcy somehow had two birthdays, and several evening shows were repeated. The kids' club was also mainly aimed at very young children, with little for older children or teens. Activities were available however these were geared towards adults and the children were often sidelined. We did have an apology for this and they agreed there wasn't enough available for the teens so they did arrange a teen ping pong competition but nothing else again after that. Cleanliness also needs improving. The poolside toilets were regularly filthy and often had no toilet roll or soap. There were several confusing inconsistencies. Inflatables were supposedly banned from the pool, yet the rule seemed to change depending on who was on duty. The hotel also sells inflatables in the shop, claiming they're for the beach-but the beach is either a bus ride away or down a very steep hill and on such a windy island I am not sure a sensible option - so that explanation didn't make much sense. The food was average, plenty of choice but nothing memorable. Overall, we left disappointed. With better management, improved facilities, and staff who actually value customer service, this hotel could be much better. We wouldn't recommend it based on our experience. If you've already booked, you'll still enjoy the sunshine and the pool, but I'd lower your expectations of the service."

"Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children 15 and 10. We have had an amazing time, cant fault the hotel at all. Location is quiet but down the beach is short walk to shops. Hotel offered excursions which we used and couldn't fault at all really good days out and got to see the island ( unless have car or pay alot definitely take advantage if want to see more ). Entertainment really good, food was great selection and I cant fault at all didn't struggle to find things we like. Entertainment team are fabulous and loads of activities on through the day. Photo staff are lovely and we got some lovely Rooms are gorgeous super comfortable Hotel is immaculate and always cleaners around. Not a noisy hotel and very easy to relax. You do have to pay to use spa but was only 14 euros for hour which thought was pretty reasonable. Games room massive hit with our older kids and kept them entertained of an evening. Would definitely return."

"Where do i start with this hotel. Location is good for the beach shops etc. The hotel its self is not so good. THE ROOMS Defo need an upgrade very basic clean but basic only 3 plug sockets in the bedroom 1 is for the fridge one is behind the sofa and the other in-between the 2 single beds so bring an extension lead. The beds and pillows are very comfy. The shower over bath was powerful but you had to be careful as the water got extremely hot then went cold RESTAURANT in our opinion this could of been improved the themed nights weren't very good chinese night was spring rolls and a very watery curry. The Mexican night consisted off deep fried jalapeño and cream cheese. Tortilla chips and tasteless sauces. ENTERTAINMENT only one guy doing all the activities he was quite good tho. BAR STAFF There wasn't enough staff on at the start of the night meaning massive queues quite a few of the young male staff were extremely rude and abrupt particularly elier (think that's how his name was spelt.)On a few occasions he actually argued with us. (Most of the staff were good just the few let your hotel down) We asked for a dissarono and pepsi zero and a bottle off beer to be told only 2 drinks were allowed (I get the rule but when u get a spirit and a mixer you would class that as one drink ) ALL INCLUSIVE PREMIUM we upgraded to premium before we came to get the top shelf drinks and bottles of soft drinks well worth the upgrade. The thing that let this down was the fact you only had 2 places to get your drinks the pool bar till 7 then the entertainment place till 11. No bar in lobby so if bad weather you had to go outside to get a drink. We booked this hotel as we had stayed in the same chain of hotels in gran canaria thinking the food etc would be something similar how wrong we were. Would we return that's a NO"

"What a wonderful relaxing place to stay. The rooms had everything we needed. The beds were so comfy. We had a ground floor room which opened out onto the pool area. The food was great with lots of choice. The best part was the wonderfully welcoming staff. They were all so happy and really seemed to enjoy working there. They couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel describes itself as an Oasis and you can see why. The hotel has so many 5 star reviews and after staying there for a week we know why."

"Awful. Terrible rooms. Tiny. Nowhere near big enough for a family of four. Kitchen is tiny, nowhere to eat, outside is dirty, bizarrely the toilet is practically in the living room/kitchen room. It’s a disgusting set up. It would never be allowed in UK. If you’ve just been to the toilet… well you can imagine…. "

"The most amazing five days in such peaceful surroundings and complete privacy if you want it due to the private terraces. Wonderful location and views They alternate each night between buffet and restaurants service and the buffet was by far the best of the two so much more choice and quality of food. The bungalow/pods are extremely comfortable and cleaned every day to a high specification. There is only one criticism For us and that is that they put young boys on the hot breakfast who really didn’t have a clue I believe they were in training, but there was absolutely nobody training them. We felt quite sorry for the poor lads as they needed some help. Other than that, we found the staff just lovely and Eric who served in the bar in the evenings was a lovely young man. Well, worth the ferry short walk to the beach as it was beautiful and great for swimming in We went as two couples and were put in bungalow/pods next to each other which also was a very nice touch and all four of us will definitely be coming back to the same place which is something we rarely do"

"this was genuinely the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. the only good part was one nice bar staff, all staff are rude when you ask them for a simple thing like a drink they stare at you like you’ve harmed them. we had an ant problem and were blamed for it, nothing was done to resolve this expect telling us to get back to them in the morning, we had to try to kill them with deodorant as we had nothing else on hand. cleaners came to our rooms 4 times during our whole stay, they didn’t clean they made our bed put clothes that were on the floor on the sofa, no mopping not even a wipe of the side, joke. food was a disgrace honestly all bland, may aswell not eat (picture of my raw hash brown below) the hotel is only for germans and french, not states however this is made VERY obvious. generally, an awful hotel."

Bakour Fuerteventura la Pared ★★★
"I travelled alone with my son on a last minute trip to Fuerteventura and chose this hotel. We hired a car from the airport and drove the hour to the hotel and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome by the lovely receptionist. There is loads of free parking and we were able to park close to our room to get our bags in. The room was perfectly equipped with everything we needed and was always spotlessly clean. Quite often the room was serviced whilst we were at breakfast and the room always looked beautiful. With travelling alone as a woman with a child I was concerned about feeling safe and I shouldn’t have even given it a second thought. The hotel can only be accessed with key cards or through the main reception so I felt so relaxed. The swimming pool is perfect and so peaceful, with plenty of sun loungers and sun beds. The staff are attentive and always ready to help with whatever you need. We drove around the local areas and our highlights were Morro Jable port where we saw sting rays, Morro Jable beach where we fed the chipmunks with some nuts, Sotavento Beach (paradise), El Cotillo lagoon, Glass Beach, and Correlejo dunes. The sunset at the beach in La Pared is stunning and people travel to come and witness how spectacular it is. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning which was a great wide selection and always something fresh to choose from. What a fantastic place! Thank you Bakour Fuerteventura, we loved it!"

"The location of hotel appeals to us both we both enjoy cycling, running and walking around this area. This was our second visit and we were amazed at all the staff still there and the fact they remained happy in their employment. The management are always available for contact should you have any issues and they will correct any problems you may incur. I would advise to take the premium upgrade to experience breakfast on the outside deck which on a sunny sunrise morning definitely takes some beating. The buffets served over the festive period on the special evenings were delightful and presented in such a professional manor I have a food allergy and all my no go areas were well documented and no doubts were assured for me to eat without concern. Food staff location will always be a big draw for this boutique venue to be successful staff to mention Sarah, Susan, Juan, Hassan, Andreas, Roseann, housemaids, chefs and kitchen staff. We enjoyed seeing you all again and I apologise if I’ve missed any off the list. Good luck for 2025 keep up the amazing work you all put into to daily routines. Also returning guests year on year is a very positive statement and we will definitely return again and truly appreciate your hospitality given over Christmas & New Year’s."

"This was our first time at Fuerteventura. The island was a bit of a shock at the first sight as no vegetation at all but after a couple of days we could used to with it. The hotel is beautiful and a surrounding is exceptional. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We asked to change our room because it was too noisy during the night ( it was above the bar ) and the lady at the reception kindly changed our room to a quiet one with an amazing island view. Furthermore a huge thank you to the animation team, especially to Diana and Vivien to made our stay full of fun and joy. They have so many classes ( aquadance, pilates, fitball, archery, capoeira etc.)to stay fit. Have a go while you are there. Also a special thank you to the chef and the staff at the restaurant for the huge variety of delicious food. We highly recommend this fabulous place and definitely will be back. Only thing was a bit of disappointment that the Eden restaurant and the spa was closed."
