The Sands Hotel

Excellent location - could see the sea and seafront from the front of the hotel. The room was suitable for our needs and appropriate for the cost.

Lovely hotel & owners. exceptionally clean breakfast amazing & well organised free parking. We will be back next year.

We have had a lovely weekend the place and owners are very welcoming the rooms and communal areas are very clean and tidy. The owners have gone above and beyond to cater for any requests at breakfast or for the rooms and are lovely and friendly and we enjoyed some time in the bar area chatting with them we will definitely be returning

Stay here it is great This is a really good hotel to stay in, the host is lovely and will do anything for you, the room is clean and lovely, it’s right near the sea and there are loads of places to eat.. This hotel really cares about its guest.. highly recommended

A very comfortable, exceptionally clean and well cared for smaller hotel. A tad old fashioned, but absolutely comfortable. I had a single room, as did my friend and another friend a double with Seaview. We were all very happy with our rooms and the pricing was very good. The showers in the single rooms seem a bit intrusive and aren't the quickest to get going or regulate, but they were OK. There are a lot of stairs and no lift - as is indicative of this type of hotel, so anyone with mobility issues would need to request ground floor, although the hostess kindly carried my case up to my room, in fact insisted! Both hosts were friendly and helpful. The bar area was super cosy and a nice place to relax. My friend spent a lot of time in there chatting with the friendly host and enjoying a whiskey or four! There is parking to the rear a a small area at the front, which was a bit difficult for my friend to navigate as another car had parked without real consideration, so we were quite blocked in. Use the rear car park if you don't want that hassle. This isn't a 'boutique' hotel, but it is in easy reach of everything, in the corner of the seafront, near the High Street and shops. It is warm, comfy and friendly (the beds were very comfy too!), clean and we all recommend it.

A lovely weekend away. This hotel is in a great location, right next to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable for our weekend stay. There isnt much parking at the hotel, only 2 cars could park at the front. Thankfully we found street parking at the back of the hotel, but it was very busy. Overall it was a lovely stay.
