Have just had a two night stay at this very well run hotel with a prime location next to the beach. The hosts are excellent and gave us all the information we needed and the room (#6) had a full sea view looking right down the beach. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Finally a special mention for the full English breakfast, one of the best we’ve had for a long while. Would we stay there again? Absolutely yes.

Just got back from here, the hotel is situated near to restaurants, bars, railway, attractions, our room was small, but had everything we needed, it was clean, lovely sea views, the reason I’ve only scored it a 3 * is because of the bed bugs ! I know it’s not the fault of the hotel, and these little blighters are carried in on other visitors luggage, but you don’t realise you’ve been bitten until much later, as they use anaesthetic, I’m covered in bites 😟 we suspected the bugs might be there, when I saw one on the covers, but I wasn’t sure, we also kept finding little spots of blood on the sheets, but because we didn’t see any bites (came out later, after we’d left) we ignored it. We enjoyed our holiday, we can’t comment on the breakfast, because we were told when we arrived, that there wasn’t room for us, it didn’t matter as you can get breakfast anywhere. We didn’t use the bar area as we don’t drink, so we only saw the landlady when we arrived. The bugs need an exterminator! Don’t think we’ll be returning here 😕

Cars and motorbiker racing there vehicles up and down the seafront. At inappropriate hour of evenings and early hours of the morning. From 10 pm to 1.30 am every night. Roaring/revving there vehicles outside the hotels. When guess are trying to have a relazing evening and a goodnight sleep. We have come home absolutely shattered. It puts people off staying in a beautiful area/place. I would like to say its not the owners of the hotels fault. Just persons being disrespectful. It would be very nice for something to be done about it. Hopefully the council and authority will do something about it. The hospitality was excellent, food was great and a lovely bedroom with a great view.

This was only our 2nd visit to the Sands but definitely not our last. We were greeted by our hosts like friends. The hotel is clean with comfy beds and 2 hosts that go that extra mile to make you feel at home. The hotel has a small.comfy bar with seats inside and out and a good selection on offer. It is in a fabulous position on Paignton seafront just a few steps from the beach. It's just a few minutes walk to the town with its many bars and restaurants. All in all a top class stay, well done Chaz and Maz.
