The Haldon Guest House

This was our second stay at The Haldon after going the same time last year also, This is undoubtedly the biggest hidden gem I’ve ever found, Graham and Kat are like family, I genuinely miss them when we’re not there, evenings spent laughing outside and impromptu guitar jam sessions, I could never imagine staying anywhere else in the whole of the Torbay than here, The B&B itself it’s very clean and well presented, the rooms are…roomy (ha!) the breakfast is plentiful and freshly made, no hours-old buffet but a genuine home cooked breakfast with selections of cereal and fruit also (even catered for me eating the whole of the south of englands supply of coco pops every day!) It is an adaptable space where we felt equally as welcome bringing our kids where they were treat so well they cried when they left but also as adults where you’re not being overrun by kids like in bigger hotels and where you can have a good laugh at night downstairs knowing the kids are safe. Feel like my life has descended into counting down the days til I’m back in my home away from home from the moment I get back! Hosts were lovely. Lot of noise at night from seagulls. Had to keep bedroom window shut. Rooms could do with being updated.

I Stayed for one night at Haldon Guest House in Paignton. Great welcome from host, a nice warm room, comfortable bed, spotless, cat friendly guest house. Nice freshly cooked breakfast. Great location handy for town and the beach. Well recommended can’t wait to stay again.

The lady and gentleman (sorry, can't recall their names) who ran the Guest House were friendly and their cats were lovely! The accommodation was spotless and breakfast was fine. I would recommend the Haldon Guest House for people who are looking for short-stay trips and who are on a budget.

Fantastic value for money. 5 minutes to the sea front, 5 minutes to the town centre. Lots of pubs, restaurants, takeaways within walking distance. Room was basic but very clean and well presented. Loads of street parking after end September, massive car park at the top of the road anyway. Excellent and varied breakfast, cooked to order included in the price! Hosts were very helpful and attentive.

Staff were very friendly and breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
