Upon arriving in Oudtshoorn, you get the feeling of stepping into a luxurious hotel. Fortunately, it is not overly crowded, yet it still offers a lively atmosphere. In the middle of the park, situated on a large lake, you will find a beautifully built African-style restaurant on stilts. From the terrace, you have a fantastic view over the water, where three hippos can regularly be seen and heard. The service is excellent—friendly and attentive. Breakfast is extensive, and both the lunch and dinner menus are well put together, featuring a great selection of wines. The swimming pool is well maintained, with neat sunbeds and plenty of towels available. We stayed here with 13 family members and thoroughly enjoyed everything the park had to offer. The organization offers various safari experiences in the 4,000-hectare reserve. We chose the elephant feeding experience—an unforgettable adventure on its own! Additionally, we took part in both an afternoon-evening safari and a morning safari during our stay. The safari was a breathtaking journey with stunning landscapes and, of course, countless wild animals living freely in their natural habitat, truly protected within the reserve. In short, Buffelsdrift is an absolute must-visit with excellent management. We had an amazing time!

Buffelsdrift Game Resort is a nice resort. Very good safari with an excellent guide. Very scenic and good restaurant. Interesting accomodation. Nice surrounding.

Beim Abendessen Giraffen und Nilpferde beobachten, einfach toll. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Zelte wunderschön. Leider haben die Vögel immer sehr früh zu schreien begonnen, was man im Zelt natürlich gut hört.

Es wurde bis in das kleinste Detail an alles gedacht! Die gesamte Anlage war wirklich ein Traum! Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, wollten keine Wünsche offen lassen. Die Zelte waren sehr sauber! Wir kommen gerne wieder

This was our most awesome time on vacation ever! We loved the lovely and very politely atmosphere during our stay in these very luxury tents with this beatiful view to the birds, renos, giraffes and elephants in or beside the lake. The Dinner was extremely delicious and the massages with a wonderful view over the lake were totally relaxed. We are looking forward to come back as soon as possible… Julia & Dirk

Prachtige locatie en fantastisch dat de dieren overal tussendoor rustig grazen en rondlopen, mooi uitzicht vanaf restaurant en vanuit zwembad. Wel erg weinig schaduwplekken rondom zwembad. Wij vonden het ontbijt oké, het avondeten en de lunch erg lekker. Alleen de service rondom het restaurant vonden we echt slecht, ze stonden erbij van we hebben werk en ik we doen wat we moeten doen en niets meer en niets minder. Moesten vaak zelf aandacht trekken. Geen flexibiliteit, we vroegen of het misschien mogelijk was om een normale tosti te krijgen voor onze 1,5 jarige, omdat er op het kindermenu wel een baguette met ham en kaas stond en we wisten van het ontbijt dat er toast brood was, en onze 1,5 jarige krijgt zo’n dik baguette niet weg gekauwd, maar dat was echt geen optie. Iets drinken aan een ander tafeltje dan waar je zou gaan eten was ook geen optie, terwijl je weet dat er mensen pas na de avondsafari kwamen eten terwijl wij vroeg aten en het personeel op dat moment met 3 man sterk naast elkaar stond te niksen.
