Protea Hotel Oudtshoorn Riempie Estate
"I loved the concept of the individual hut/rooms. It was so nice to have your own living quarters. The buffet was some of the best food, and the ostrich pie was so delicious. The staff was very personable. The grounds were beautiful, and I enjoyed just walking around taking it all in."
Swartberg Country Manor
"We only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. A very relaxing stay with delicious food, stunning views and scenery at the foot of the Swartberg mountains. We were a family group of 7 visiting with 3 generations and everyone loved our stay. The kids particularly enjoyed the pool. Highly recommend! "
Le Petit Karoo
"What an amazing way to celebrate my birthday! Magnificent views, stunning, immaculate rooms and fantastic service! The honeymoon suite is to die for! It has outstanding views and its own pool! Karen and Tracey are the new owners and have put their heart and soul into creating a magnificent experience for their guests. Great hospitality, accommodating and friendly people. It felt like home away from home. We will definitely be going back!"
Oue Werf Country House
"We had a lovely stay! The staff were so kind and welcoming; they even made us a dinner reservation in case we needed a place to have dinner when we arrived, after a long drive. The property is beautiful and in great condition! The breakfast was also delicious! I couldn't recommend it more!"
De Zeekoe Guest Farm
"When reading other reviews, we wonder whether we may have stayed in a different place. We got unlucky with the meerkats, which was down to the weather and obviously no fault of the farm. The food was ok, but in comparison to the other hotels we have stayed in on our tour, it was decidedly average. Having been greeted in every hotel we have stayed in so far, which such genuine friendly people,The greatest downside for us with de zeekoe, was how offside all the staff were (save the lady who checked us out, being the 1 exception).. we thought it must have been just been us, until we met another couple post checkout, who said they had had an even worse experience than us. Happily, we have moved on to the next venue and normal South African hospitality has resumed. Happy days…."
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge
"The place is definitely designed for foreigners and operates as such, it is a kruger in the karoo vibe. We were there at a time with exceptional rain. This is understandable but the place is not designed for rain, the tent was very dark with mesh windows so could not be opened, the reed roof over the main tent opening meant we could not even look out. The place did not handle the rain well, difficulty getting carts to not get drenched, no alternatives or funds returned or input into cancelled game drives, the tent leaked in and this issue took a whole day to resolve. Certainly not worth the funds when they run into adversity."
Old Mill Lodge, Seasonal Working Ostrich Farm & Restaurant, Oudtshoorn
"We accidentally packed a few cockroaches because the room was covered in insects. We couldn’t wait to leave."
Rosenhof Boutique Hotel
"A large gated property . Very quiet located at the end of town. Large reception/ dining area. Separate lovely breakfast area with buffet continental plus a cooked hot addition, even champagne. A small sharing plate plus wine on arrival in your room. There are several size rooms set in a court yard setting, we had a deluxe room, large and very well appointed, several sitting options & lge bathroom. The dining room has a 2 or 3 coarse menu with 4 options of each coarse, the food was exceptional. They even washed our car for us without us knowing, exceptional service The staff are very friendly & helpful."
Hlangana Lodge
"The rooms are large and the very green rooms are very pleasant. The staff are very friendly. We recommend this loge!"

Surval Boutique Olive Estate
"What an amazing place . Loved everything about it . The staff were wonderful as was the great room with A/C and a huge comfy bed , which was within metres of the 2 pools . Restaurant served wonderful meals , what can i add other than would stay again in a heartbeat ."
Langenhoven B&B
"The host was very helpful and patient, she is always available to assist and very open and kind. Enjoyed my stay"
Die Fonteine Country Guesthouse and Glamping
"A fantastic getaway, near enough to Outshoorn and local attractions to be accessible but also nestled in the quiet countryside for a proper getaway. Anzue and her team made us completely at home from the start with her warm and generous hospitality. As nature lovers, the garden planting and view of the surrounding area were fantastic, and a real highlight was getting to watch the bird life that enjoys the aviaries in the grounds and also nests in the trees. Thanks for a lovely stay!"
Oudtshoorn Inn Hotel
"The hotel is in a terrible state, it's dirty and poorly managed. Kids staying at the hotel caused chaos and resulted in 3 bookings walking out. Before we even packed out I asked to cancel and was told I can't and no manager is on site. I can email.."
Mooiplaas Guesthouse
"Andre made are stay just wonderful. Couldn’t do enough for us. Food was delicious and well presented. Would recommend this Guesthouse"
La Plume Boutique Hotel & Spa
"We stayed at this hotel with my family for just one night, but unfortunately the experience was very negative. That evening we had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant without any issues; however, the next morning we noticed that money was missing from a backpack inside our room. When we reported what had happened, we expected at least a professional and understanding response from the staff. Unfortunately, the reaction from the manager, Sarita, was the opposite: her attitude was aggressive, lacking empathy, and completely inappropriate for such a delicate situation. Beyond the material loss, what impacted us the most was how our complaint was handled. We felt mistreated, ignored, and faced with a complete lack of respect. It’s an experience we definitely would not recommend."
Soetdoring Selfsorg
"It was difficult to find guest house (it is not in Google maps and even in Trip.com maps it was unclear there is reception and there is apartment. But the connection by phone was easy and we received a support - key and explanation very fast after arriving to the accommodation site. We appreciate our thanks for the real help with forgotten baggage delivery to the our next stop. It was done in spite of weekend days very correctly and friendly. Thank you again! The location is out of road in wild area nearby lake with plenty of birds and plants. It was impressive sunset and sunrise. In house we found all that we was needed for cooking, comfortable living"
Turnberry Boutique Hotel
"The room we stayed in on 10 August is in a horrible state. Bathroom fittings are all lose. The shower floor is filthy and the toilet floor had water on it ( we called the supervisor on arrival to view but no action) . The coffee cupboard door was hanging loose . The ceiling is stained with water damage. The seat on front of mirror was dirty and so was the carpet. Light fittings are not all operational . Internet was extremely weak to nothing. To call this a "Boutique Hotel " is misleading ."
Miles B&B Guest House
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Lana and her Dad take great pride in their property, this is by far one of the cleanest, neatest B&B"s I have stayed in. There was nothing that was too much trouble. Would highly recommend Miles B&B"
88 Baron van Reede Guesthouse
"Personel , friendly & super service from the lovely host. The rooms are perfect & very clean. The garden is beautiful. Breakfast was served hot and variety was good. The whole experience is simply divine."
Queens Hotel by Bon Hotels
"Our stay here was comfortable with a reasonable shower and the bed was ok. We feel the hotel needs a little love and attention as in places the room was tired. The food and breakfast were good and the staff friendly! The hotel is well placed in the centre of the town."
Earthbound Guest House
"We keep coming back to this slice of heaven, in the Karoo, for many reasons. Marie, Ayla & the team, makes us feel at home, in this comfortable environment. The rooms are always spotless, and the pool & garden area is a welcoming oasis. The breakfasts are delicious and the secure parking provides peace of mind."
Chandelier Game Lodge
Thylitshia Villa
De Denne Country Guest House
"The place is great the staff mostly very nice and the rooms are good. But the food let them down. Expensive and not good quality. My Karoo lamb was awful for R330 I expected much more. But overall I enjoyed the stay. "
Karoo Soul
"Quiet area, frozen territory. The room is not new but clean bedding and towels. Good water pressure in the shower. Own terrace. Responsive administrators"
Adley House
"There were a couple of items in the room and bathroom needing some maintenance, but in the whole we had a great stay. It is a historic house with fantastic old furniture. The room was big and clean. The manager very friendly and supportive when we mentioned a leaking toilet. It was fixed in no time."
