"Our weekend stay was truly incredible and exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and made to feel right at home. The accommodation was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and every detail contributed to a relaxing and memorable experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the elephant experience. Being able to spend time so close to these magnificent animals was both humbling and unforgettable. The experience was well organized, informative, and offered a unique opportunity to appreciate these gentle giants in a meaningful way. It was far more special than we could have imagined. This was truly a great experience, and we will definitely be returning. The only thing we would change is the length of our stay—next time, a weekend simply won't be enough! "We stayed for one night and were made to feel very welcome by the owners who are rightly proud of their historic property. You are but a few minutes walk from the town centre where there are several restaurants, although only one was open on the Sunday we were there. There is a lovely terrace area overlooking the suspension bridge and river below the lodge. Our room was not large but it was more than adequate for our needs and the electric blanket on the bed was a welcome addition to our overall comfort. Everywhere was very clean and the interior of the property had retained much of its character from yesteryear with quality furniture throughout. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious."

"Absolutely loved Oudtshoorn and Rosenhof was a huge part of that. Wish we had stayed for a week. Had a little cottage with a pool — and two huge tortoises seemed to live in the back yard. The staff at the house were fantastic and the breakfasts were spectacular. Also very happily bought a piece of Ardmore from their display cabinet but would have gladly bought one of their huge pieces — sadly they weren’t on offer. Honestly, Rosenhof was a highlight of our three week South Africa trip."

"I loved the concept of the individual hut/rooms. It was so nice to have your own living quarters. The buffet was some of the best food, and the ostrich pie was so delicious. The staff was very personable. The grounds were beautiful, and I enjoyed just walking around taking it all in."

"We love the hotel ….its got wonderful character and charm. The staff are efficient, friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The little pool area is very nice but it needs cleaning and brushing on a regular basis. The covers on the sun loungers should be put out daily . The food in the restaurant is excellent and served nicely with smiles. Our room at the back was quiet and had all we needed."

"I was very pleasantly surprised at the incredible value for money. My expectations of the hotel based on price were far exceeded and I can stay we had a perfect stay. We were situated right nearby the stadium where my daughter was competing in Biathlon championships which was a huge bonus and just a 1 minute away from SPUR restaurant which helped for dinner. The room had everything I needed and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend the hotel! "

"Absolutely loved De Zeekoe guest farm. Our room was lovely... very quirky, four poster bed, fire place with logs. Bath and shower room separated by old style screen it was was fantastic. I think we had one of the original rooms, Some rooms were more modern but still lovely. Everything really clean. Reception area lovely. Food delicious. In a nice quite setting. The staff at hotel were really friendly and helpful. Visited local ostrich safari farm nearby and staff noticed us walking back, the weather was getting bad with heavy rain and the manager sent someone to pick us up. Went above and beyond usual customer service. Unfortunately didn't do meerkat experience due to bad weather. Very happy with our stay. Would definitely recommend. Wished we had stayed longer."

Karen and Tracey are the new owners and have put their heart and soul into creating a magnificent experience for their guests. Great hospitality, accommodating and friendly people. It felt like home away from home. We will definitely be going back!"
