"What an amazing way to celebrate my birthday! Magnificent views, stunning, immaculate rooms and fantastic service! The honeymoon suite is to die for! It has outstanding views and its own pool! Karen and Tracey are the new owners and have put their heart and soul into creating a magnificent experience for their guests. Great hospitality, accommodating and friendly people. It felt like home away from home. We will definitely be going back!"
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge
"Everything about our stay was absolutely excellent. Most beautiful place if ever seen. I am also so grateful for keeping our South African citizens in mind with the special packages prices, in which we also can enjoy this absolutely breathtaking gorgeous place. With tears in my eyes, for this I'm am so thankful. I can't wait to visit this beautiful place again. Wow, what a wonderful experience, I wish I could have stayed longer. Absolutely loved everything about my visit at this wonderful Game Lodge. "

"Stunning lodge set next to a free flowing river. Large comfortable family units. We also made use of their a la carte restaurant. We had Delicious breakfasts as well next day"
Oue Werf Country House
"We had a lovely stay! The staff were so kind and welcoming; they even made us a dinner reservation in case we needed a place to have dinner when we arrived, after a long drive. The property is beautiful and in great condition! The breakfast was also delicious! I couldn't recommend it more!"
Protea Hotel Oudtshoorn Riempie Estate
"Luxurious, kind staff, beautiful rondavel and a lovely town, close to a lot of Ostric-Farms and other nice facilities."
De Zeekoe Guest Farm
"Second visit to De Zeeko and even better this time. Extreme cleanliness, bar, restaurant and pool were very good. Staff very attentive throughout. Reception very efficient and helpful. Perfect location for seeing the Meercats and we will be back! "
Miles B&B Guest House
"Great Service, tasty breakfast and a refreshing pool to take a cool down. Lana was always there to help and her father had the one or other entertaining story to tell."
Soetdoring Selfsorg
"Soetdoring (on De Zeekoe farm) was the first stayover we had for our honeymoon, and we were so impressed! We had such easy and effective communication with the owner, received a tranquil cabin with a beautiful big patio overlooking the farm dam and felt so at peace. The cabin is also equipt with everything and more (aircon, wifi, braai facilities, modern bathroom and a nice big bed with mosquito netting). The farm has ample wildlife and bird species to view (so bring your binoculars!) and to add icing to the cake, the farm even has an amazing restaurant just a few minutes away! What more do you want? Riverside Guest Lodge
"An amazing experience. Our hosts Elza and Albert have thought of everything to ensure their guests’ stays are nothing short of wonderful. We could not have asked for, or expected more of our stay. The rooms were delightful, breakfast delicious and the deck and honesty bar bar a welcome sight after a day exploring the area. Thank you Elza and Albert for making this a memorable stay."
Oakdene Guest House
"Oakdene Guest House is set in a historic building (formally a residence) in Oudtshoorn. There are several rooms throughout the house all of which have great individual character and charm. The business is run by Sonja and Daniel who are excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly hosts, they are very good at what they do and are a mine of information on Oudtshoorn and the surrounding areas. The room room we had was very spacious, well appointed and en-suite, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot and plentiful. Breakfast was on the Stoep (Terrace) there was a good selection of the usual fare:- fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese, bread etc plus Sonja’s homemade cakes (very nice) plus a hot option ‘made to order’ . There’s a nice garden area at the rear with loungers around the pool area and Secure Parking. All in all Oakdene is a lovely place to stay with excellent hosts. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to our friends."
Mooiplaas Guesthouse
"Our stay at Mooiplaas was a very memorable one. It is a luxurious retreat and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Staff are extremely helpful and they make an effort to memorize each guests name. I would highly recommend this destination. Hanlie and Viljee… well done!"
Rosenhof Boutique Hotel
"A great place to get away from it all. Fantastic rooms and lovely staff. Always have a smile for you and always happy to assist. The meals and breakfast are excellent. "
La Plume Boutique Hotel & Spa
"Nice Victorian ranch. Pleasant welcome and lovely welcome drink which was iced rooibos. Huge room and massive bathroom. Lovely touches with plants on flannels and robes. We stayed for dinner which was lovely, ostrich of course. The dessert buffet was laden with cream, sugar and gluten, shame they didn't have some healthier options. Pool nice area. Make sure you drive the Swartberg Pass from here, outstanding! "
Turnberry Boutique Hotel
"The room we stayed in on 10 August is in a horrible state. Bathroom fittings are all lose. The shower floor is filthy and the toilet floor had water on it ( we called the supervisor on arrival to view but no action) . The coffee cupboard door was hanging loose . The ceiling is stained with water damage. The seat on front of mirror was dirty and so was the carpet. Light fittings are not all operational . Internet was extremely weak to nothing. To call this a "Boutique Hotel " is misleading ."
Kleinplaas
"We love camping and have camped all over South Africa. This camp must be one of the best run and cleanest camps we have ever visited. The camping sites are all large and more than adequate to accommodate a caravan and vehicle. Some sites have grass, but those that are not grassy have wooden chips on them to avoid dust. Most sites have beautiful shady trees on them. The Ablutions are unbelievably clean and more than adquate. Even at night after 10pm, the cleaners still come in and clean the ablutions - never did I find a wet floor!! Security, which is something we all in South Africa are very aware of, is very good with a security guard and boom at the entrance. Entry is obtained with a disk that is issued upon booking into the resort. As an overnight stop, or like we used it a placd to stay while attending the KKNK, one cannot ask for more!! Well recommended!"
Altes Landhaus Country Lodge
"From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like old friends. This was our first visit , but won’t be our last. We were treated so well, everything was perfect. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable, we slept very well. Room has tea and coffee making facilities, TV and air conditioning. They have a turn down service in the evening and leave a little chocolate on your pillow. They have a nice pool area with bar set within the gardens. We had dinner and drinks in the evening in a lovely settling, The fire was lit and the table was set so beautifully. Breakfast was also very good, first we were served a continental breakfast and then a hot choice of breakfast. Food was delicious , service exceptional from every member of the team. Thank you all for such a memorable stay."
De Denne Country Guest House
"First impressions of De Denne were excellent, the setting is beautiful, and our room (and our friends' room next door) each had a seating area outside and overlooked one of the pools. The sunset and then the stars were stunning. We had dinner at De Denne on our first night which was very good. Reasonably priced and very good service. Our first breakfast was good ... a small buffet selection was set up, and we were also able to order cooked food from the breakfast menu. However, on our second morning, we went in to breakfast and sat down. I asked the lady helping us if I could order from the cooked menu, as we all had the previous day, and was simply told 'No'. I was directed towards the buffet food and told that was what was available that day. There were no bowls for the cereal or yogurt so I asked for a bowl, and was handed one a few minutes later by the same lady who didn't even look at me when she handed it over. A little while later she then offered me the menu to order some cooked food, but I declined as I had already eaten something else by then. The lady then asked me 'If I was really okay or just saying that'. To be honest this spoilt the stay a little as I felt I was an inconvenience ... and I am sure this is not how you would want guests to feel. "
