Sheraton Ottawa Hotel Reviews

The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, and the location was perfect. The breakfast spread was also quite tasty. I will certainly return during my next visit.

A short walk from Parliament Station, the Sheraton gave us a spacious room. However, there was no kettle to boil water for tea - we used the coffee maker instead. There was some kind of problem with the pipes in the wall, meaning a shopvac had to be left running in the hallway outside our room 24hr/d. The carpet in our closet next to the bathroom was always soaked, probably because of the problem. Perhaps because it was near Centretown, we had one or two homeless or disturbed people on the sidewalks near the hotel. This made it uncomfortable for me to approach with my children because of their random mutterings and throwing of drink bottles. However this only happened twice during our weeklong stay. Staff were very friendly, nice and helpful, and sharply dressed.

Close to Parliament and Rideau canal. Plenty of choices of restaurants with different style. Valet parking is $35/day.

We had a good stay. We felt that it was disappointing they didn’t offer coffee throughout the day. We also felt the parking was pricey.

Overall it's very good. After all, hotels in Ottawa are relatively old.

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes to Capitol Hill, with Farm Boy supermarket nearby, and very close to the subway, you can see the subway entrance. The room facilities are relatively old, and the shower water is very difficult to drain. The room window cannot be opened, and the smell in the room is not very good. The air conditioner is very noisy, but fortunately the temperature is not high, so I don't need to turn on the air conditioner when sleeping. The breakfast is self-service, but there are not many varieties.
