Apartment Hotel 11 Shinimamiya 3

Great location right next to the station, so super convenient for getting around the city and to Kyoto. The room was clean and check-in was easy but bed is a bit hard. Also note that you can hear some train noise and people outside but it didn’t bother me too much.

It seems this hotel has just opened, so during my stay I almost never met other guests. The location is very strategic, it’s only a 1-minute walk from the West Gate of JR and Nankai Shin-Imamiya Station. Dobutsuenmae Station and Don Quijote Shinsekai are about a 7-minute walk away. There is also a FamilyMart right next to the hotel. The check-in process is very easy. They provide the information by email, and when you arrive at the hotel, you just need to enter the passcode on a touchscreen at the entrance. The room key is also taken from a box next to the room, which can be opened using the code provided by email. The room we stayed in was actually for four people, but since there were only three of us and we had a lot of luggage, the room felt quite narrow, even for three people. All the room facilities were brand new and, of course, very clean. We stayed on the 13th floor with a nice city view, but the room faced the train tracks, so every time a train passed by, the sound could be heard clearly inside. In other words, the room was not very soundproof. The kitchen facilities were complete, and all the equipment was brand new, including a very sharp knife that injured my mother’s hand three times. The bathroom was quite good, and the room cleaning supplies were complete, such as tissues and trash bags. Staying here for 5 days was quite pleasant, and we never had any difficulties during our stay. The hotel’s response was also quite fast whenever I asked something. Overall, I was happy staying here.
