The place was great. The kids love it. Clean and everything was working well. I would definitely go back.

We booked 2 nights here following a recommendation on Instagram. It really did not disappoint. Coming from the UK on a road trip with our kids, we loved this stopover - we stayed in 'Julien' - one of the tiny houses, which actually was roomy for four of us. Absolutely loved the styling of the whole set up and beds were really comfy. Being able to just hop on the bikes when we needed was perfect. We explored Ojai and enjoyed eating in the restaurants and coffee house. Staff were responsive and friendly. It's a unique setting, and felt like camping but more comfortable. My only negative comment is that there were no kitchen supplies. This was clearly communicated beforehand, but there was a fully functional kitchen but no bowls, mugs, cutlery. As we were travelling, we had to buy disposable which seemed a pity given the cost of the nightly stay. All in all though, we loved our stay and so glad we came. We will recommend to others!

If you’re looking for a unique glamping experience that is a short walk or bike ride to downtown shops and restaurants, this is your place! My daughter and I loved our stay here. Shout out to Brad and Leilani who always responded quickly to any questions we had during our stay!

Very clean, very cozy, very well located. We loved our stay. Check in check out were easy. They also have bikes which you can borrow. The trail is right next to Caravan Outpost. Highly recommend if you are in Ojai, even if you stay only one night !

We recently spent two nights in Ojai at Caravan Outpost, and absolutely loved every minute. The communications coming from them was fantastic. We were texted when our trailer was ready with instructions on which trailer was ours, how to get in to the trailer and phone numbers to contact if we needed anything at all. We arrived, parked on the street, and quickly found our beautiful airstream trailer tucked in some trees with a table and two chairs with an umbrella out front. We settled in and walked the grounds. Everything was spotlessly clean, there are games, cornhole and chairs out in the middle of the common area. There are bicycles with helmets available to guests and the bathrooms and shower rooms for guests too were spotlessly clean. Mr. B used the shower rooms as our shower in the trailer was to short for him. He said they were so clean and had everything he needed. Being short, I was able to use the shower in our trailer. Now to the trailer, so fun! It was clean, everything was well taken care of. On the dining table was a retro record player with some vinyl to enjoy. The bathroom had everything we needed and the bedroom was cozy and the bed so comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and we were more than comfortable in the trailer. Leilani, the camp host isn't on site all the time, we saw her both mornings and she was so friendly as was all the staff when on site. Leilani offered recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We had a ball, and loved every minute of our resort camping experience. Parking is on the street and never had a problem getting parking. We would absolutely stay again when in the area. Located on a side street in Ojai and easy to walk into town. We walked the bike path one evening to get dinner, and walked back through town, even stopping a few doors down at a Brewery and Winery to have an after dinner drink before turning in for the night.

After being referred by a friend, my wife and I decided to try the experience of staying in an airstream trailer at Caravan Outpost. We had a very mixed experience. The good: The trailer was clean as were the grounds, the bed was very comfortable, Brad one of the managers came and opened our windows for us and he was very pleasant. The Bad: Our trailer (number 8) backed up to an active industrial yard separated only by a bit of landscaping. The noise was horrible and continued until 8:30pm. It consisted of drilling which sounded like a dental drill but was actually someone removing tires from a car, loud banging and the constant humming of an air compressor...it was horrible. The shower in the large building that was available had an overhead rain shower that was partially plugged and only provided water flow from a few of the open heads resulting in a stinging water sensation, the bikes were very subpar (gears didn't work, saddle very uncomfortable) TV's that don't work (and they are labeled as such) so why not remove them and create a better aesthetic? overall, great concept and aesthetics, very poor execution. In the right location and with a few tweaks the experience would have been amazing. We will not be returning

I have mixed thoughts about the Caravan Outpost. I feel it is neither here nor there. It does not feel like camping/glamping since it is in the middle of downtown Ojai, No fire pits (even though other Ojai hotels have gas fire pits and fire places on their properties). On the other hand if you are comparing to a hotel it isn't as comfortable but is priced like a hotel. That being said I wanted to try this place for a long time and finally did and did enjoy our stay here. The caravan is clean, bed is comfortable, heat and AC work well and there is enough room for 2 people to move around fairly well. WIFI works well. The grounds are nice and it is pleasant to sit outside. There are clean shared bathrooms and showers if you don't feel like using the small one in the caravan. Some of the decisions by the property management are not clear- There are 2 TVs in the caravan that don't work. Why not add a Roku stick and let people log into their own streaming services. There is a full kitchen - why not provide basic utensils for small meals? All in all we enjoyed our stay but in the future not sure if I would stay here again unless it was a lot cheaper than a hotel.

We came back to Caravan Outpost after 5 years and were unfortunately disappointed. The store and coffee bar, the evening outdoor fire, the wonderful outdoor lounges were gone. We had loved that community part of the place and the welcoming host. The place seemed a little beat up as well- the blinds in our airstream were ripped, all outdoor chairs had no pillows, the bikes were in bad shape. We love the idea of the place and hope you all get back to what it was.

Absolutely delightful experience in every way! Immaculately clean, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed, great location, super-cool vibe. Each unit has plumbed water for sink, shower and toilets, plus coffeemaker, plenty of plush towels, built-in heating, and comfy beds. Leilani is a gracious and welcoming host/manager. We loved our visit and the beautiful grounds, and look forward to coming back with a gathering of friends to make the most of this very well-run accommodation.
