The Pier Rooms

I stayed here for 10 nights and couldn’t fault it.The cheapest room in Oban I think and in a great location for trains,buses and ferries.No window but quite a lot of accommodation now has no window.I am always out so a window wouldn’t make any difference to me.Air conditioning was good and as the weather was very wet a lot of the time I could turn up the temperature to dry out my clothes.I always travel with ear plugs so was wasn’t bothered by any noise.Lots of places to eat nearby including Seafood Hut,Weatherspoons,fish and chip shops and many others.I will stay again.

Excellent value for money in a central location. There is a nice Wetherspoons next door for food and drink at good prices. Also other restaurants nearby. I chose to park in the gated train station car park which was only a few steps from the door…pricey but my choice, there will be other car parking not too far away.

Loved the location. Didn’t like faucet in sink not properly plumbed in and could not get any hot water in the shower.

Basic, functional, modular, small, clean, comfortable, no window. No on site staff although accessible by telephone at a nearby hotel. Staff friendly & helpful. Digital coded entry accessed by email / phone & a keyless entry card. Situated below a restaurant resulting in early morning wake up with dragging furniture across the floor, footsteps & restaurant night time noise. Guest noise from closing doors & in corridor. Good location for ferry terminal, train station, harbour side & and town.

This is a great spot for a good nights sleep. The rooms optimize space so it is meant to be a place to drop your bags. It’s clean well appointed and the value and location are phenomenal.
