Montigo Nongsa Resort is a must go for a relaxing retreat in Batam to rest and recharge from the daily rush of City life. Just by simply being there, immersed in the beauty of white washed villas by the sea, you will feel like you're in Greece. Soaking in the scenic view all around you everywhere you go and vibes of a slower pace of life, all the stress slips away. In the resort, commuting is done using a buggy, or you can have a delightful walk discovering paths and scenic places not covered by the buggy. The villa is my beautiful cozy home for the retreat with its own Infinity pool giving me all time access to the magnificent sea view, sunset and cloudy skies overhead. I can lounge on the poolside bench for a sunbath watching the ferries and sea activities or admire the broad expanse of the dark cloudy skies overhead with planes flying above at night truly quietens one's spirit down in an amazing life by the sea. Adding sparks and highlights to the already perfect life here in Montigo Resort is the abundance of daily breakfast at Tadd's Restaurant. The staff here (including Sara and another gentleman staff whom I didn't ask for the name) are amazingly friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant breakfast experience for you. If you have booked recreation activities in advance, you would be pleasantly delighted that staff from the Recreation Club would be there at Tadd's before you come for breakfast to meet you and assure they will bring you to the Recreation activity after breakfast! Wow! What a seamless experience to make you feel so welcome and well taken care of! Thanks to Chyntia, Coco, Yoga, Wahid and Bruhan from the Recreation Club. Chyntia has thoughtfully planned the sequence of the activities when I booked several activities over a few days without fixed dates and time to allow easier booking depending on tidal conditions and other guests' bookings. You can try your hands at the Airsoft Gun. Coco from Recreation Club will guide you on the shooting techniques. As a first timer with Airsoft guns, I'm certainly pleased to have hit 2 targets using 30 pellets. Next is the kayaking. Yoga from Recreation Club will brief you on using the paddle and take photos and videos for you from the shore. Just paddle out to the peaceful sea and take in the entire landscape of Montigo Resort from the kayak. I'm also amazed at the opportunity to see a tiny flat crab clutching onto a floating cardboard raising one leg at me at sea! Another exciting adventure is the ATV! Wahid from the Recreation Club will help you get familiar to the ATV in no time and guide you on a tour to the dirt track and the nearby farm in the ATV if you choose the one hour session! Along the way, he will help take photos and videos to capture your memorable ATV journey. Lastly, you can opt for a 2 hour bike tour to 2 kampungs! Guided by Bruhan from Recreation Club, you will see the captivating rustic local life scenes, the nature and beach along the way. You will also see the mangrove village where paintball activity takes place. Bruhan will also take photos and videos for you when we pause for breaks. Thankfully, Bruhan brought along a bottle of mineral water for me for regular hydration during the tour! It totally skipped my mind to consider bringing water along! To ease the muscle soreness, end the day with a blissful soak in the Infinity pool or warm bathtub with an essential oil bath bomb. Breathe in the aromatic scent and relax. So much wonderful memories and delightful experiences at Montigo Nongsa Resort leaves me looking forward to more!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a fantastic stay at Montigo Resort Nongsa! The accommodations were beautiful, serene, and well-maintained—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the warm service from the staff, especially Dwi. From the moment we arrived, Dwi went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness really stood out. She anticipated our needs before we even asked, and her thoughtful touches added so much warmth to our stay. Montigo should be proud to have someone like Dwi on their team. Her service embodies the spirit of true hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning!

Overall a fun filled trip. Breakfast spread is fair though can be quite warm. Rooms are huge. Buggy service is a bonus.

Montigo Resort has an overall spacious and luxurious feel, with good variety of dining, spa and leisure options. It gives a very relaxing ambience during the vacation. Waiting time to check-in took quite long, almost one hour because there was only 1 staff manning the front desk (~ 12noon). But all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room feels spacious. Location is great, especially when you wake up in the morning and greeted by the sea view beyond.

First up, service there is fantastic. Staff is very friendly and approachable. Food and services within resort is slightly pricey. Free 24/7 buggy services via whatsapp.

We had a relaxing 3D2N stay at Montigo Resorts. The service was great, with friendly staffs whom made us feel welcomed. Although the resort carries a 5 star rating and shows some signs of aging, the villas were spacious and serene — ideal for a private and peaceful retreat. From tranquil mornings by the private pool to stunning sunset views and rejuvenating spa sessions, it was the perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The resort is conveniently about 45 minutes from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, followed by a short 5–7 mins complimentary buggy ride. Getting to the city centre was easier than expected, with Grab rides easily available and a round trip to Grand Mega Mall taking just over 30 minutes. Recommended for anyone looking to have a short getaway.

It’s my second stay at Montigo and it was an absolutely lovely stay. From the warmth hospitality of their staff and the beautiful villa with their private pool, it was a 10/10! Highly recommended!!

Amazing experience here! Staff are all super helpful and friendly! My only issue is that the water pressure is not strong enough but other than that, this place is wonderful for us.

It was far out from the city centre, but the villa was very private and the staff were really really really friendly! Loved it! Could be cleaner, but I would stay again. 

A Very Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price I booked a 2-bedroom sea view villa (Villa #99) for a family getaway, but what we experienced fell far short of expectations: - The so-called “sea view” was barely a glimpse, mostly blocked by a large, old tree. - The villa had a strong sewage odor, especially in the toilet – truly unpleasant. - The beach is unsafe: full of rocks and broken glass. Even the staff advised against swimming. It’s essentially a no-swimming beach. - Loud techno music blared until 1am due to a wedding banquet. When I asked about it, I was told “it’s a celebration.” This completely ruined the tranquil escape we were hoping for. A "celebration" at the expense of resort quest! - Breakfast was a major letdown. Food quality was poor, very little meat on offer, and the only popular station – roti prata was mishandled. The curry kept running out and staff took forever to replenish it. - The private pool in our villa had loose tiles everywhere. Thankfully, my kids didn’t get hurt, but it was a serious safety concern. - Of the 4 or 5 restaurants on-site, only the Indonesian one had decent reviews. But when we checked in at 2pm and wanted to make a reservation, we were told it was fully booked. With the other restaurants poorly rated, we had to take a cab out just to find a decent meal. For a resort charging premium prices, this was extremely underwhelming. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz or Four Seasons, but I did expect basic standards in food, service, and facilities. Sadly, this place delivered on none.

We brought our 2 teenage kids to stay in a Hillside Villa for 2 nights! The experience is superb with a private pool right at the hall area. All of us enjoyed the bonding time, majority at the outdoor section wheee the pool is. The view is spectacular, and waking up to this view in the morning definitely helps to clear up all the stress accumulated living in a city. Will I be back again? Definitely! Going there is a breeze with well connected transport provided from the ferry terminal to the resort.

The rooms were spacious and Montigo kindly provided a free room upgrade for our trip :) as a result, my parents really enjoyed the private swimming pool and the view as they are not comfortable swimming in the public pool. Sahrul our receptionist was very kind and helpful. Riyan who was driving our tram was warm and friendly which made our trip better - we always looked forward to meeting him. The staff were warm and friendly + there was sufficient space to get food. The staff at the spa were very understanding when I had to change treatment due to my sunburn and were flexible in making concessions.

Montigo Resort Nongsa have been an excellent stay as it have essentially everything require for holiday and is away from the buzzing city. The only thing is to go to any other would take more than half an hour because it is away from the city.

My husband and I had a one-night staycation at this beautiful resort, and it was truly a great experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was well taken care of. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, which was a nice touch, and the staff throughout our stay were warm, friendly, and attentive. The weather was quite hot, but we had planned ahead and booked an in-house BBQ with a sunset view — definitely one of the highlights. A special chef handled the BBQ just for us, and the server attending to us was equally pleasant and professional. We managed to catch the sunset for a few minutes before the dinner, which made the moment even more special. The resort itself is stunning — clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. We’ll definitely consider coming back again. The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety and quality, much more than we expected. The buggy drivers were also incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a cheerful smile. They even picked us up and sent us to the ferry terminal upon checkout, which made our departure smooth and stress-free. We also visited the spa and tried both the Indonesian and Montigo massages. While we couldn’t really tell the difference between the two, the masseuses were skilled and professional. One small suggestion would be to include some relaxing background music during the massage, as the silence felt a bit too quiet. The food overall was above average, even if not the absolute best we’ve had. Still, paired with the views and ambiance, it made for a lovely experience. All in all, the resort is a perfect place for a peaceful weekend escape. The views are amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing. While the price is on the higher side, it’s expected at a five-star resort — and in our opinion, it’s well worth it. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a short, luxurious break to recharge.
