Stylish and enjoyable, perfectly clean! The room was large and had a coffee machine (we didn't have breakfast, as we planned to eat in town). Parking, as in any old town, was difficult, but it would be helpful to know which nearby parking garage is best to use and which one to drive directly to. Otherwise, a very good stay at the hotel; I would gladly stay there again. Very satisfied. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is accessed from a small road off the highway. The gardens and pool are beautiful. There's no elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs was a bit of a hassle. The room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. There's no refrigerator, but you can get ice and water in the restaurant. The breakfast was quite generous, and the staff were very friendly."

"The room was totally fine; everything newish. There are some things not to like but at the lower price point this place has, they are easy to overlook. If there is a weak point on room furnishings, it could be the mattress which was acceptable only. Towels and bed linen clean but a little frayed in spots. Other guests remark on the area. There is a bar next door where guys hang around in the streets smoking and patrons are loud coming and going in the evening. The hotel had good windows that filter most of the noise but if you’re truly a light sleet, this could be a factor. I didn’t find the area dangerous; just don’t interact with the bar patrons. I just saw one guy at reception ever (so may be the owner/manager) and he was not fluent in English but we got by. The immediate area has the Porte of Augustus, a huge cathedral, 10 minute walk to the arena and other sites and a Carrefour market. Given the price, I would stay again."

"The hotel has a beautiful facade and is very close to the Roman arena, museums and restaurants. The breakfast is great, the interior is very new and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Most speak good English. For a 5 star hotel and the price paid, I expected the room to be larger and a bit higher spec. However the beds were really comfortable. I didn’t expect to be questioned when I asked for extra coffee for the room or for the magnifying mirror in the bathroom to be hanging off the wall. Also disappointing was the chipped coffee cup we had at breakfast, though the food was first class, plentiful and varied. It’s a shame it is difficult to access by car and that parking is some distance away but then Nîmes is an ancient city with many narrow one way streets. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend it to friends."
