The best forest resort experience we have had as a family in over a decade. My personal favourite feature was the switch off from our phones. And that makes the experience all the more memorable and worthwhile! You get to immerse in the beauty of a well-maintained tea estate and protected forests. Cheers to the whole team especially Subeesh, who helped plan our experiences during the short stay, the chef who catered for our special requests, and the amazing knowledgable forest guide.

A Perfect Getaway Amidst Nature! Had a wonderful stay at Wild Planet Resort! The hospitality was excellent, and the food was truly delightful. The property is well-maintained, offering a peaceful escape from the city crowd. The rooms were clean and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. Great experience , got immersed in Nature. Rainforest walk was super cool and hospitality was great, appreciate all the services by Subeesh Subramanian. Would recommend this place to get into Nature. Enjoyed kayaking and ambience of resort was pleasant.

Had a wonderful experience at Wild Plant, Ooty! The location is breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a peaceful escape from the city. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The food was delicious, with a great variety of flavors that truly complemented the serene ambiance. Every dish was fresh and well-prepared. The service was outstanding—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a stunning location, Wild Plant is a must-visit!

Wow, is the word I have for this resort. This luxury nature resort which is hidden from the outside world right in between dense forest is an experience that you should never miss. Located at Devala near Gudallur this mystical place is a treat for all your senses. The narrow path (which can accomodate only one Vehicle at a time)leading to this resort through the forest itself gives you a pleasantly strange feel and after a certain point your phone network stops working adding onto the thrill, leaving you at the mercy of the nature and the resort management which is actually a blessing in disguise as you are cut off from the outside world and can enjoy and get immersed in the experience for the next few days completely eliminating chances of undivided attention. Entering the resort provides you with the memoirs of the original Jurassic Park movie as we Park our vehicle at a point and are ferried by their off-road SUV until the reception which feels like a joyride due to the sheer route, ambience , view of the landscaped tea gardens and the beautiful structures encompassing the massive metal bridge, aesthetic cottages, amenities, lake etc within it. Once you reach the reception you are cordially welcomed by the experienced , polite and friendly staff with special mention to Mr.Raj who guided us and helped us completely through the check-in process and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying during our stay. The food (all 3 meals and the hi-tea covered with the stay) is a delight to your taste buds as it's a proper buffet which you rarely expect to find in such a locale cut off from the outside world. Then we head to the cottage and we stayed in Rustic Cottage which was recently built and had an enigmatic charm to it completely built with a wooden finish to it which reminds you of the jungle wooden cottages which you spot in Hollywood slasher movies. That adds to the spookiness of your stay. Then we were taken for a forest walk with proper jungle boots which they provide with and and I must specially mention Mr. Mahesh who was our guide. ***, he is such a powerhouse of knowledge when it comes to nature ( trees, birds , insects , animals) , he knows them all so well and I haven't seen another guide who explains forest to you better. You get lost in the charm of the forest and start to realise that there is no better architect in this world than nature and that life is beyond all our greed, ego and our pursuit to make money. This place provides you with a sense of wisdom, understanding and provokes your thought in a way that would definitely change your perspective to life and happiness. And after a 4 km walk trust me we never felt tired or the need for water and that's what this place is about. Pure oxygen and fresh air making this place one of the very few unpolluted oxygen hotspots in the country. This resort deserves to be added among the list of best resorts in the country and if you are a forest and mountain lover, this is a destination
