Hotel is a convenient walk from the nearest bus stop, and it provides a comfortable feeling within the hotels itself. The buffet was delicious, and they feature daily changes on the rice to give an insight on the type of rice you can get from which part of their prefecture. Hotel service was great, and the comfortable night gown was a perfect touch as you wear it to call it a day when you sleep. Only thing is that there was no laudry facility in the hotel, but it was, in general a great experience.

We recently stayed at Hotel Okura in Niigata and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the Shinano River, providing stunning views, especially during sunset. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the JR Niigata Train Station and Niigata Airport, making it a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We particularly enjoyed the variety of dining options available at the hotel, including a French restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests we had. Overall, Hotel Okura Niigata offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niigata.

I recently stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata, and my experience was delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attentive staff. The hotel is located in a prime area, with easy access to local attractions, and offers a beautiful view of the Shinano River, which adds a touch of tranquility to the stay. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities were top-notch, and the bathroom was well-equipped with everything I needed. I also appreciated the traditional touches in the room, giving it a refined Japanese atmosphere.

An excellent stay. The staff were so polite (even more so than I was expecting), and the room was spotless. It’s a little far from the station, but easily accessible by bus. You can’t miss it as you’re crossing Bandai Bridge.

Looks good but old

Room with river view, best location in Niigata! Furumachi and Niigata Station are within walking distance, breakfast is also super delicious, and it is an old hotel in the city center.

Thanks to Niigata, I can actually stay at Okura with breakfast included for less than 400 yuan! The cheapest single room has old facilities but is still clean. I stayed there for one night and caught the Shinkansen early the next morning. I had breakfast at 6:30. There weren't many varieties, but everything was exquisite and appropriate. Great 👍

The room was clean and the towels were fluffy, which was nice. It's a little far from the station, but the cherry blossoms along the river and the tulips on Bandai Bridge were beautiful and it was a great place to take a walk. The hotel staff were very kind and I had a comfortable stay. I was able to make some fun memories. Thank you very much.

As expected of Okura, it will never disappoint you. The service, environment and food are of course impeccable, and the location is also super good, right next to the Bandai Bridge and the Shin-no-Kawa River. It is not far from Niigata Station. If you have good legs, it's a 15-minute walk. Of course, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, which is very convenient.

It's great. The intern sister in the lobby is very nice. Except that the room is a little small, everything else is perfect. It's very clean, quiet and comfortable, and the transportation is convenient.

Stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata for the second time in half a year. The Shinano Riverside Suite has a great view.

Okura's location is not the best, it's a bit far from the station, but it's right next to Bandai Bridge and has a good view. The best thing about Okura is the breakfast, with freshly made omelets, rice from Niigata, and a wide variety of options. The twin room was an ok size.

The facilities are old, the breakfast is average, you can choose not to bring it. The service is very good. It costs 3000 yen to take a taxi from the airport. If there are more than three people, you can take a taxi directly. The distance from the station is the starting fee. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Isetan on a good day.

Thank you for allowing me to have a relaxing stay without any issues. I wonder why I felt uncomfortable with the actual customer service and attitude, perhaps because of the hotel's name value? I wish they had been more relaxed and natural. I feel that the Okura's warm attitude, which is appropriate for a regional city, is better, rather than the same standards as in major metropolitan areas.
