Apparently, the name for the city of Nice comes from the Greek goddess of victory, and not the English word "nice". This is a great shame, as people in Nice are nice, and extremely friendly. Nicest and friendliest of all are the people who run Le Windsor. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we crossed the threshold. The hotel is extremely comfortable. The rooms are spacious. And the food is very good indeed. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Very good service. Beautiful gardens and large room with very good beds. Location in the center of the city with access to restaurants, shops, old town and no t far from the beach. Restaurant in the garden with a nice menu. We will recommend this hotel to friends.

Un excellent accueil le personnel est très compétent les chambres propres avec une agréable literie. L'hôtel est bien situé a deux pas d la promenade des anglais. Le dîner une merveille !!! Le petit déjeuner dans le jardin exotique et très agréable et copieux

The Hotel is amazing Staff, food, rooms and location are perfect for a fabulous vacation. Located close to railway station you can get to Monte Carlo in 25 minutes. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too. Plenty of trips on offer I would go for St Paul de Vence and Antibes.

Wir waren drei Nächte im Hotel Windsor zu Gast. Das Zimmer, um das wir schon vorab gebeten haben, war sehr schön, geräumig und sauber. Auch der Blick in den Garten und die Ruhe haben wir sehr geschätzt. Die Meer-Promenade ist zu Fuss in 8 Minuten erreichbar. Was wir allerdings überhaupt nicht geschätzt haben, war die Bedienung an der Reception, insbesondere beim Auschecken. Kein Blickkontakt, kein freundliches Wort, nur ein unfreundliches Abhandeln der Bezahlung. Es war ein Klima von; bezahle und verschwinde. Das ist aus unserer Sicht einem 4-Stern-Hotel nicht würdig, zumal die Reception die Visitenkarte des Hotels ist. Trotz der guten Lage, werden wir dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.
