The hotel is fine. Bland but fine. Things we had been told were included are not, such as pickleball and tennis - hefty extra charges for lessons and tennis is actually at a neighbouring tennis club, and no one at the reception desk could explain how to access it or costs. Hyatt touches including paper cups and plastic bottles of water continue to annoy on the sustainability front and make you feel like you’re in a a cheap motel. However the real issue is the food. It’s eye-wateringly bad value and not very good. We are having to drive to a neighbouring shopping mall for all our meals. The children’s menu burger is $16 and looked exactly like a McDonald’s burger with a plastic cheese encrusted thin meat patty and greasy fries with a plastic container of ketchup. No condiments offered and not a single vegetable on the plate - not even some lettuce. Main dishes start around $45 and a steak (with tax) is nearly $75. For $30 we ordered “butter lettuce cups with shrimp” as a starter - on the plate were three lettuce leaves, three shrimp and a few veg with a pot of chilli type sauce which we didn’t touch. The sourdough bread that was supposed to be accompanying the tomato soup (which was fine but poorly seasoned, and service was so poor that we never got any salt before the end of the meal) was chewy and tasteless and had to be spat out after chewing for too long. It explains the long queue of dressed up guests waiting for taxis ….

Staff were pleasant, but the cleanliness and upkeep of the public spaces around the guest rooms was very poor. The day following the Concert Series on a Friday night, there were wine and alcohol glasses left out, and vomit outside a guest room that didn't get cleaned up until late the next day. I told my wife I should have taken photos so I could have included them in this post. I don't normally post reviews, so didn't think to capture it.
