DO NOT BOOK DISGUSTING, CREEPY AND VERY BAD HOTEL. ADVERTISING IS ALSO HUGELY MISLEADING AS WELL. Dirty sheets, pictures claim the shower cubicles at least have a door but no, just a plastic shower curtain with zero privacy. I checked in, then saw and realised what a mistake I made and booked another place. I've now potentially lost money on this as Trip.com are also messing around too.

I recently stayed at the West Side YMCA and found it to be a great budget-friendly option in a convenient location. The rooms were clean and simple, with basic amenities that suited my needs for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the communal areas were well-maintained. It’s perfect if you’re looking for affordable accommodation in the city without luxury extras. I would definitely recommend it for travellers on a budget or those who prioritise location over high-end comfort.

This is not a normal hotel, but it really is great, you have everything you need, is clean, beds and pillows are comfy, it is a small room though but is all you need if you are looking for a good place to sleep while you are in NY and it has great location, 5 min walking to central park or 20 min walking to time square. Absolutely love it.

For its price and location, you can never go wrong. Room is clean though doesn’t provide amenities like water. Just towels. It’s in the corner of central park and lots of coffee shop and stores nearby. Near bus stop and subway. Can walk to timesquare. Bathroom is shared but always clean. Will stay again if I can go back to NYC

it was pretty great price wise for the location it’s at! i’d definelty recommend if you don’t mind sharing a bathroom ^^ Times Square is just at a ~15-20 min walking distance!

Great central location in prime area in Manhattan near local transportation (trains) bus, Central Park, and more. Staff is friendly and always ready to help.

The toilet is clean but terrible, there is only one shower point on one floor , and the water is really weak from the shower head, everyday I feel like I am not clean after showering. And the air conditioner make the room really damp , even you feel cold but your head is sweating because the air conditioner cant dehumidify

Good location adjacent to central park. Room AC control is wrong, no fan running on cold until set to dry. The safe does not work, that means the staff doesn’t do the operation health check. Two very flimsy bath towels are too small even for kids. The bunk bed makes very annoying squeaks with the slightest movement.

The location near Columbus Circle is very good with subway nearly 300m away. This is a good choice for a 'no frills' accommodation for a very short stays. This may not be that very suitable for families.

Great location, very small room, the shared bathroom are better in the highest floor. Next to central park

The location is very much near to Central Park and in Manhattan at 5 West 63rd Street New York, NY 10023. The location is great and very much near 59th Columbus Circle. The room size is just okay for the price and bed sheets are clean. The washrooms are not that great though, especially the common ones for men are big let down. The wash rooms for women and other genders are secured access with the room key card. Overall okay, the early checkin is subject to availability and the AC is window attached small one not the split or Central AC. Good for short stay of a day or 2 if you want to explore the city and want to stay in the Manhattan. The Central Park is just few meters away.

The place isn't very well maintained. The bathrooms need touching up, and the ac in a lot of rooms are super noisy. If you switch yours off, you'll still hear the one from the next room. Also too few bathrooms and elevators. That being said, having a private room in NY for this amount, you can't really expect more right? The room was clean (unlike the bathrooms), and comfortable. Had a great night sleep, and the location right next to central park make up for everything.
