Days Inn by Wyndham Natchez

Similar to what others have said, we had several problems with this hotel. Others complained about how dirty it is, and the staff responded that the age of the building is "challenging". That excuse doesn't hold water. Old buildings can be maintained. They didn't clean the room. Old or new, that is an issue. An old building doesn't prevent a bag of trash outside our door from being picked up the whole time we were there. An old building doesn't force the staff to talk with their friends who are playing loud music in their car after midnight. In fact, we didn't find the staff to be friendly at all like some reviewers said. It seemed like they couldn't be bothered to do their job.

This was by far one of the dirtiest and nastiest hotels I have been to in the last 10 years. My Connex in Afghanistan was cleaner than this place. It had holes in the walls, feces, dirt, on the walls, hair in the bed, dirt in the tub. It was disgusting. It was probably a nice place in 1985, that was 40 years ago. They do have some rooms they have upgraded, regardless of how much you paint a turd, it is still a turd. The place needs to be gutted from top to bottom. Suprises me that Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, even attach's their name to this joint. They really need to go and audit this place. Regardless, of how some others have viewed the staff, this is not a staff issue. This is an ownership issue. The owner is not allowing the property manager and maintenance staff to adequately maintain the property. So, my hat is off to them, for having to take care of angry customers, it's really no reflection on them. My only positive experience was the office staff, they were very polite. They have no control over a cheap owner...

The check in was quick and easy and the staff was very nice. The room wasn’t as pictured online though. The curtains didn’t stay completely closed on its on. There were holes in the wall, pillowcases were stained and the smell of cigarette/cigar smoke was so loud even my Lysol couldn’t kill it.
