"Magnolia Bluff's casino hotel is an old and worn-out Best Western hotel. The casino is on the other side of town. The rooms are dirty, unfinished, and there's no Wi-Fi. It's a non-smoking hotel, but the hallways smell distinctly of smoke. The solution is to spray some scent spray. The breakfast is okay. This is the t****th time (in two visits) I've experienced this at a Best Western. We'll never stay at a Best Western again."

"Marybeth welcomed us to her home and described its long history in the family. There are lots of lovely antiques and interesting things to see in the home. Everything was sparkling clean. We felt so comfortable and at home there, using her fridge for a few things and making ourselves tea. Having asked us to choose any time we liked in the morning, she made a delicious breakfast. Would definitely return if we are in the area again."

The Hotel Vue Hotels in Natchez

The Hotel Vue

"Absolutely horrible hotel! Upon arrival, we were told that the pool, hotel, and bar were all closed, but no discount would be given as we should have been told. Maybe they should update their property information to reflect these amenities not available instead of telling the customer it’s their fault for not knowing. As we booked a non-refundable room, we checked in anyway and went to our room. Upon entering the room, the first light switch we flipped didn’t work so we made our way through a dark room to turn on the bedside lamp. First thing we noticed was the beds were mattresses wrapped in bedding sitting atop exposed box springs. Not a good look, but whatever. We brought in our belongings and noticed the bathroom wasn’t very clean either and the ironing board appeared to have blood stains on it. We didn’t plan on spending much time in the room since we were in town to visit family so we decided to make do with it being that it was non-refundable. The next day we went to spend the day with family and received a call from the desk clerk stating that the housekeeper told her our belongings were still in the room and asking if we wanted them to be thrown in the trash. What!?!? Why would we want our belongings thrown in the trash? Apparently they had in their system that we were supposed to check out so they were cleaning the room for the next guest. We had a two night reservation, confirmation of a two night reservation and they definitely charged us for a 2 night stay. We had to leave family, go back to the hotel and show them proof of the reservation and where they had withdrawn the money from our bank account to match the 2 night cost. The desk clerk was being as helpful as possible, but by listening to the conversation it sounded as if her supervisor told her the room was booked out for the night so it was gonna be our problem. My husband said “yeah, it’s booked and paid for BY US.” The desk clerk finally being frustrated after seeing that we had confirmed a 2 night stay and had paid for a 2 night stay, told us to go ahead and do what we needed and she would handle it. We booked through the choice hotels website, but apparently they don’t acknowledge their payments because they kept asking us who we booked through because it was showing them we booked and paid through “wholesale”. We paid AT THE HOTEL! Once we got that situation settled, we went about our day, and came back for the night hoping our things would be untouched and no one in our room. Luckily, that was the case and we slept for the night. The next day as we were packing up, I checked under the beds and around everything to ensure we didn’t leave anything. I found a toy that wasn’t ours and there was something on the other side of the bed so I went to check. It was dirty panties! Definitely do not recommend this hotel! "

"This was a beautiful B&B with friendly hosts, a comfortable bed, and an amazing breakfast! We will definitely return if we get to Natchez again. The view from their lawn is beautiful with the Mississippi River flowing down below. Everything about the Kings Daughters B&B was perfection and they have thought of every detail."

Stone House Musical B&B Hotels in Natchez

Stone House Musical B&B

"After a lifetime of visits to Natchez, Mississippi as the guest of our closest friends, who now, due to the foibles of aging, and their celebrating an 89th birthday, could no longer entertain, my spouse and I researched Natchez accommodations. Fortunately, for us, all the major hotel chains were booked for the first weekend in June of 2023. Serendipitously, I discovered the Stone House Musical B & B. We were blessed to be graciously accommodated by the host, Mr. Joseph Stone, the owner of the main residence, an antebellum, restoration winning residence featured on the Natchez Pilgrimage tours. We spend two idyllic nights at the cottage on the grounds of the estate. Mr. Stone gave us our very own informative personal tour of the Stone House, a history lesson of the present with insight into times past. The breakfast prepared and served served daily in the main house were served on heirloom Limoge china with period serving pieces. The English toast server was a lesson in engineering! My favorite serving piece was the 18th Century English Sterling Mustard Pod which held the orange marmalade. Mr. Stone graciously on one of our evenings in Natchez, played the family Steinway Medium Grand circa 1903. With two daughters who both studied piano with a conservatory graduate, his skills did not disappoint. We were enthralled. Mr. Stone truly is a renaissance gentleman whose attention to detail, history, and knowledge of world affairs, past and present, is erudite, brilliant. He is part of the entire package, if you wish. The cottage on the grounds of the estate was comfortable in every capacity. The beds, perfect. The cotton towels, changed daily, We felt as if we were special amily, and our inclusion into the main house, a perfect Natchez immersion. In retrospect, how blessed we were to have had this experience as opposed to staying in a commercial establishment. We would return, certainly anticipate doing so, and would recommend The Stone House Musical B&B to all comers. "

Sunnyside Bed & Breakfast Hotels in Natchez

Sunnyside Bed & Breakfast

"The best part of Sunnyside BnB is the owner, Colleen Wilkins. Genteel, friendly, and accommodating, Colleen welcomes you to her antebellum home. The home is filled with unusual items that Colleen has collected through the years, and she has wonderful stories as she takes you on a tour through her home. Her Christmas tours, called "Do You See What I See?", are amazing with 34 Christmas trees in the house with some very special ornaments. I held a surprise birthday party and dinner at Sunnyside for my husband, and it was perfect. The library and dining room are very unique with books on shelves everywhere. There is a grand piano in the library that anyone may sit down and play, and if you are there at the right time, one of the ladies that helps Colleen serve may just break out into song. Besides being a remarkable business woman and BnB proprietor, she is also an accomplished chef. Our Beef Wellington with fresh green beans, twice baked potatoes, and almond cake for dessert was just as delicious as the sumptuous breakfast you receive in the morning. You sink into the canopied beds for a great sleep. Her gardens are well cared for, and Colleen will give you a tour of them also in the spring when everything is blooming. She uses her own flowers and greenery from her gardens in Sunnyside depending on the season. The party and dinner were a huge success, and the overnight stay was relaxing. We are planning on sending everyone to Sunnyside for a magnificent Southern experience."

"Mary Beth made our stay perfect with her warm, welcoming personality. We felt like we had all been friends forever. Her little B&B felt like home. We stayed two nights. First night met a nice couple from Germany. Second night, we enjoyed having the place to ourselves. Lovely glass of wine on the beautiful front porch, then relaxing in the house itself. Gorgeously furnished from another era. We are San Diegans and fell in love with Natchez and Mary Beth’s B&B. "

Glenfield Historic B&B ★★★★
"We booked Glenfield Plantation for 2 nights/mystery dinner show thinking it would be enjoyable and convenient to other Natchez activities. Huge mistake! The play was done by amateurs except for one actor….some didn’t know their lines or deliver them well. Total rip off for dinner and show which lasted less than 2 hours with multiple intermissions for food serving ( which oddly enough was done by the “actors”): $89 plus tax and 20% gratuity. Both bnbs’ hosts were knowledgeable and friendly, and the breakfasts were good. Unfortunately in my opinion, the house is filthy….not dirty…FILTHY! Wanted to leave shortly after arriving, however; we would have lost hundreds of dollars and may not have found another place since check-in is at 4 pm. The entire home is in dire need of repairs. There were cobwebs and ants in the bathroom, toilet had a ring of some unknown substance, stains in the bath tub, dust everywhere, peeling paint, badly applied wallpaper, bugs inside dusty vases, chair cushions with stains or badly worn and frayed, ceiling falling and exposing wood above, shifting bath floor tile, painter’s tape on vent, mold/mildew around a/c vents….I could go on and on. The smell in the entire place was off-putting…not sure what it was. And, that is just some of the inside. The outside is even more tragic. According to what I have researched, the owners do not belong to the BBB, Natchez Bed and Breakfast Association, or Mississippi Bed and Breakfast Inns. I guess I should have done my homework first. The pictures/write-up posted by the bnb do not honestly reflect its actual state. Preserving historic integrity has nothing to do with cleanliness. So many plantations do both well."
