Joe was an exceptional host with a wealth of knowledge about the Stone House. His detailed tour about his relatives who once lived here was a highlight, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. His dog, Precious, only adds to the property's charm.Besides being a fantastic host, Joe is a wonderful cook. Breakfast was exquisite and beautifully served in the formal dining room. "I had a lovely two night stay - Marybeth is an excellent host, she made me feel so welcome and relaxed. The house feels like an informal, real home (“Grandma’s house”, as Marybeth described it) and breakfast was delicious. The room was fairly simple and old-fashioned in a good way, and the AC and hot water worked beautifully. It was a charming experience. Plus the location is hard to beat. Highly recommended."

"It was my birthday and I wanted to stay someplace special after my week long roadtrip down the Natchez Trace. The Kings Daughters exceeded all my expectations! I stayed in the Kate Bond room because it had a view of the river, a claw foot tub and I loved the wall color. The den near my room was a great place to relax, watch a little TV and knit. I felt instantly at home! Breakfast was yummy and Heather a super host. I look forward to returning! "

"I want to give an honest opinion. I read several reviews regarding the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms before I arrived. I expected what the pictures showed, however, I think I have a more positive review. I checked the bedsheets and bedspread, both are clean. I checked the countertops, and all had been wiped down. The only problems we ran into was 2 lightbulbs being out, one in the bathroom and one as soon as you walk in the room. The microwave is older but it seemed fine. The bathroom was wiped, HOWEVER, the toilet seat was not. The shower is just older with some hard water stains on the faucet. The floor of the shower is peeling, like pieces of a shower mat. That was my only genuine concern, but otherwise it seemed clean. I can’t say it’s the best, and maybe it is just the room I got, but it is not as dreadful as the previous reviews make it seem. The young lady at the front was kind. It’s not “bad” but is in desperate need of some serious TLC."
