Very disappointed with our stay here. Looked forward to staying in the main hotel as we had done previously but instead this was closed with hotel functioning from other smaller buildings. Not clear on website or marketing information. Limited breakfast. No evening restaurant. However, staff very helpful with an enquiry we had and hotel in a good location for People’s Park, central train station and city centre shopping.

Because I wanted to see the old site of the "Nanning Conference", I checked into this hotel directly. When I checked in, I was told that I was upgraded to Building 2, which is clean and well-equipped, with friendly service staff. It's a pity that the old site of the Nanning Conference in Building 5 is not open to the public, but seeing the big red flag is a compensation. It feels good to stay here.

The hotel environment is OK, but the room facilities are old. The breakfast area is far away. During the few days of staying, there were Guangxi transportation and seamen's union activities and other teams. When having breakfast every morning, the quality of the team members was uneven. They took food with their hands and used chopsticks, did not share tongs, and fought with each other. There were at most 3 service staff at the breakfast area. While serving food, they only said how much to eat and how much to take. This phenomenon of taking hands was ignored. When the waiter served the food, I went over and formally proposed not to touch the food with hands, and the waiter simply said one sentence. Considering that there are few breakfast service staff, I hope that when there is a team, the front desk customer service will come to help, so that the front desk staff will not always sit at the bar, and will not stand up to ask questions. I have never seen their smiles, and I don’t know why they are so unenthusiastic. On the second day, the sign for changing sheets was put on the bed, but it was not changed. On the third day, the sign was put on the bed again and stood up. There were two people in the standard room with two beds, but only one bed was changed (whether the hotel prepared two signs for changing sheets, change the idea, half service, half refund). The service of this Mingyuan Hotel disappointed me.
