"The room looked absolutely nothing like pictures with an old dingey carpet and a tiny 28" TV. The fridge was broken and propped up on one corner with a stack of broken tiles to try and stop some of its wobblyness. The "private ocean view balcony" was instead a view of the trail to the children's park instead. The jacuzzi tub looked like the jets hadn't been cleaned in ages and were so black with mildew, neither my wife nor I thought it to be hygienic enough to use. The location itself was convenient, though, and was just a short walk to the beach."

"Another wonderful time spent at Oceanside Village Resort in Parksville B.C. My 2 lifelong senior friends and I spent 2 nights in a 3 bedroom cottage. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom without extra charge because the 1 bedroom cottage we had reserved became unavailable. An amazing upgrade! The cottages are spacious, very clean and luxurious, all with lovely decks where we were able to sit out and enjoy our happy hour each afternoon. An easy 10 minute (or less) walk to beach access. All in all an exceptional home away from home! Linda D."
