"I recently stayed at the Courtyard Nanaimo and had a lovely experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with good coffee facilities—a nice touch to start the day. The location was perfect, close to the seaside and many great restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The only downside was that parking wasn’t free, which was a bit disappointing. There was also a payment error where my card was charged multiple times, but the hotel handled it professionally and issued a quick refund, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would happily return! 4/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (would have been 5/5 with free parking!)"

"The front desk person was friendly and professional, and was able to check in quickly around 5 PM. I was upgraded to a Jr Queen Suite which was nice. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, and I had a meal at Top Notch which had excellent burgers. Good value for business travelers especially during low season."

"The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air. The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room. When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room because it was very dark and gave an uneasy feeling. This is probably the worst hotel on this trip in Canada where I have been for last one month."

If there is no reservation, you may not go to the 1 class. We waited for 2 classes and didn't go up. The third class went up."

"Although I requested room cleaning service in the morning, they didn’t do anything. Hence, I called the front desk around 5PM, and then he said it’s busy, so no time to do cleaning. If I didn’t call, I think I couldn’t even get a new towel. Also the homeless people walk around the parking lot and make noises."

"This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at the historic Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel in Qualicum Beach. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the spacious and lovely forest view suite this time. Our peaceful room was beautifully decorated and immaculate. There was even a basket filled with delicious snacks for us to enjoy. Watching some small deer roam on the large, landscaped property with colourful gardens, was a real treat. Having a delicious dinner in the Sapphire Restaurant at the Mansion was a bonus for us. We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant."
