Sarova Woodlands Hotel and Spa, Nakuru
"Facilities: Retro-style decor, but the facilities are very new. Cleanliness: Clean bedding and towels; a kettle is available and bottled water is provided. Environment: The beautiful and elegant atrium and stylish lobby are impressive; there's a large supermarket right next to the hotel. Service: The staff, front desk personnel, and even security personnel were all polite and always smiling. I would choose this hotel again next time."
Lake Nakuru Lodge
"I visited with friends recently and was blown away by the amazing views and the warmth of the staff. The rooms were comfortable, the food was great, and the overall experience was 10/10. If you’re planning a trip to Nakuru, this lodge is a fantastic choice for both relaxation and adventure."
Claire de Lune Moonlight Hotel
"We stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights with no regrets, Daniel at the reception is warm enough to make you extend from 1 night to 3, he had 2 rooms for us to choose from. The rooms are sparkling clean, beds neatly made, clean towels and the lady in floor 6 is wonderful. Madam Janet thank you for extending a late check out for us and for your warm hospitality, Nafula Christine you are a gem at the reception with your big heart keep it up. The lady at the breakfast area, thank you for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of. We will definitely be back, not to forget the security guard at the reception area your warm hospitality was felt as well. Thank you all."
Merica Hotel
"Large comfortable and clean room. Great staffs' services. Good meals"
Top Cliff
"We had a 5 star experience. Our stay at Top cliff Lodge was amazing. The service was top notch, food very fresh and delicious. We were privileged to meet the owner who was super courteous. The bed was comfy and hot water was a blessing. The views from the hotel are stunning. We highly recommend."
Buraha Zenoni Hotel and Resort
"Very good hospitality experienced. Food quality was top notch. Roof top bar and restaurant provided. But only wifi connection in the reception, bar and restaurant. No wifi connection provided in the rooms. In the early morning, you could hear pelicans chirping as it is near Lake Nakuru. Swimming pool was good and really enjoyed the stay. All day food inclusive. Would be better if there was an intercom in the room since for every need we had to walk to the reception and get it fulfilled."
Maili Saba Camp
"Absolutely incredible stay at Maili Saba Camp. Lilian and Milka were lovely hosts and we can't thank them enough! We were greeted at the door with freshly squeezed mango juice, our rooms looked out at the most breathtaking hillside views, and the meals provided were delicious. Not only that, Milka brought hot water bottles to our beds to help us keep warm at night, and also sprayed our rooms with mosquito repellent. I was told that the camp actually helps to generate funds for a local foundation which provides schooling and training for disadvantaged youth. If you go, please tip them well, they truly deserve so much love! Thank you for the incredible stay, and we hope to visit again!"
Ivory Park Hotel - Safari Waterworld
"So disappointed, poor management and never had hot water in the bathroom through out our stay. Don't recommend to anyone and one of the staff members stole from our room and the matter was never taken serious by the management. The food was okay nothing crazy."
The Ole-Ken Hotel
"Friendly staff and very nice and well Presented dishes"

Apex Resort
"I have been around this resort. Expect deafening silence around here. Life comes to a standstill. There are homes around the resort, but with few people. The sleepy, hilly area is generally underpopulated. You hardly see any movements even within the resort itself. From the hill on which Apex Resort is located, the whole of Lake Nakuru is clearly visible. It's a beautiful sight to behold, especially early in the morning or in the evening. Hyrax Hill, where I understood there's a museum, is also in view right across the resort. There are many other beautiful hills away. I took a walk through the woods surrounding the resort. Farmers worked on their little farms in the forest, weeding or uprooting yellowing beans. They generally spoke Kikuyu. They readily showed me the path to take across the hill. There are winding roads and paths throughout the area. The Menengai Forest Station isn't far away from this lodge. It's a walking distance. I took a road I learned headed to a place called "Crater." But I got tired. Fortunately, I stumbled upon a little park. A really nice, peaceful park near the Menengai Forest Station. It has no name, but it became my favorite quantum of solace for the period I was in this area. Apart from the occasional motorbikes and vehicles, there's hardly anything to make noise. The birds sang in the trees in the small park, and the grass was lush. There are 4 plaster/cement seats in the park, each facing a different direction. I returned to the spot the next day to sit and watch the trees and hear the birds. I was alone all the time. Talk of a ghost park. Nobody joined me, though there were occasional passersby heading to the beans and maize farms behind the park, and once four youths jogging on the road facing the park got into the park, stretched and did some press-ups for a while and then resumed jogging on the road. But the few empty bottles and food wrappers around the plaster seats were a good indication the park does have visitors. At one time, I saw a bunch of tall, youthful forest guards slithering through the woods quietly, carrying guns and rungus. Possibly from some mission to catch illegal loggers. The silence here is deafening. The silence would only be broken by the motorbike taxis ferrying passengers to "Crater." I named the park "Ghost Park" because I couldn't believe such a nice place was mostly empty or deserted. But then, the area receives few visitors because there are no attractions worth writing home about, apart from the forest. The locals certainly don't need to come to the park: it offers them nothing new. You come to this area if you long for peace and quiet and to be with raw nature. It's also safe. I wandered deep into the forests all alone. I walked to the furthest end of the park and saw a couple of three-stone cookers — a sign that some eventful activities happen here occasionally. Maybe weddings, community gatherings, etc. There were also two makeshift pit latrines walled with leaves."
Eldorado Rustic Hotel
"It was a great pleasure to stayat Eldorado Rustic Hotel in Nakuru. Staff was super friendly and helpfully, especially manager Mrs Lizz.It on the doorstep of Nakuru national park. Lizz orgenized for me great man David who showed me Nakuru park, we have seen all animals! I highly recommend this place!"
Grand Skyline Hotel
"Amazing .Friendly and accomadative staff with impeccable services and also a very quite place to relax after a busy day.The cleanliness and facilities highly praised.Such a good and quite environment planning to go back soon . It's just an amazing experience ."
Hotel Citymax Nakuru
"We stayed here for one night during the safari trip to Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. This hotel needs renovation and improvements in basic cleanliness. The toilet was old, and the towel rack was broken. The linen was not clean enough, and we noticed rusty stains. The light in the room was very dim."
Taidy's Suites - Nakuru
"We were in transit and needed a place to rest. we Got to Nakuru at around 1am. A friend had once recommended this hotel and we thought of trying it out. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst mistake. • Your personal space and privacy is not guaranteed. A staff together used their card to access our room in the middle of the night accompanied by a drunk female. • Norman the night receptionist displayed a very negative attitude from the time he picked our call when we were making an enquiry on room availability to when he was checking us into our room. • The place is extremely noisy from unruly guests and deafening music from the bar upstairs. • Breakfast buffet is a scam. Cold, unsavory meals. Very limited choices. • Be prepared to use lukewarm water flowing in form of drops to clean yourself."
North Manor Nakuru

Eagle Palace Hotel
"The eagle palace was a great, clean and comfortable stay for us in Nakuru. The rooms are big and have all the necessaties, the bathroom was also huge. We had to leave at 5.30 am in the morning and they arranged for breakfast to be possible at 5am, which we greatly appreciate! They helped us with all our questions and all the staff was most welcoming and helpful."
Flamingo Hill Tented Camp
"Wow! What a fabulous camp! Staff are amazing and so helpful, and nothing was too much trouble! Let me start by thanking Joshua, our brilliantly attentive waiter, who always was one step ahead of our requirements, with a fabulous smile! Our accommodation was amazing (no need for keys here!)?) 🤣 Our tents were spotless, and the hot water bottles each evening in the bed were such a thoughtful gesture on chilly evenings! Suffice to say we slept like logs knowing our askari were about all night. The food in the restaurant, I'm at a loss for words! Chefs, 👏👏👏 you catered magnificently for all tastes, and we have never experienced such excellent cuisine on any other of our others 20+ Safaris. WELL DONE! The bar and fire pit were a lovely place to relax after a long day and have our perfect gin and tonics (not flat either!) Well done, gang! Our deepest thanks and respects!"
