"Great no frill hotel with clean and functional room for a comfortable night. The location is good if you are driving and many restaurants and supermarkets are all within 10 drive away. This location is also good for driving out to the various ski resort in Nagano."

"Good hotel at a really decent price point, the only thing is the location there is nothing much to do in Nakano itself but it is very close to the train station, and I think a lot of people staying there had cars. They have different style rooms, the first room I stayed in had a coffee table which I couldn't use for computer work, but then moved to a different room later which had a proper work table which was much better. Also has an onsen which was also nice. Breakfast buffet quite decent, would just request that more vegan options be available."

"The location of the hotel is close to Yudanaka Station,only 4-minute walk.The twin room is spacious and comfortable,but the area near the window is slightly cold.The onsen is clean and spacious.View woman outdoor onsen ia great,can clearly see the mountains.The kaiseki dinner was very deicious.We are very impressed with Tsubakino Hotel."

"A hidden gem - definitely worth recommending.
The location is close to station, and walking distance to convenient store.
Staff are very nice and friendly, the food is also delicious. We had two dinners at the hotel; one night sukiyaki and another night shabu shabu. Nutritious, fresh and tasty.
Thank you so much for the stay- we love it!"

"Located just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!"

"We really enjoyed the experience of staying at the ryokan.
Friendly hostess, neat house. We were treated to tea and buns. The location is very convenient, near the train station.
There is a very beautiful pond with koi fish in the yard.
We enjoyed the experience of the public bath. There are 3 baths in the ryokan: 2 public and 1 indoor. I visited one public, the pool was outside, which created an additional atmosphere for this place.
We were a little puzzled by the early departure at 10 am, but the hostess kindly allowed us to leave our luggage with her for longer"
