Stayed for two nights over the weekend. From the front desk to housekeeping, to the ushers at the breakfast hall, and the concierge and doorman, they were all very friendly. They were full of smiles and never failed to greet. Sadly, only on one occasion at the JAMU booth was the staff really unfriendly. Such a contrast in comparison to the rest of the staff whom I came across. I didn't get her name, but she was dressed in a black uniform and had shoulder-length hair. She was manning the JAMU counter on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She seemed uninterested in entertaining us when asked about the JAMU concoction. When I requested a cup of SUSU JAHE, she handed me a pack instead of asking if I would like to have it there or not. It was only when I told her I would like a drink of SUSU JAHE in a takeaway cup and not a pack of the mix that she made one for me. After preparing the drink, she left it at the counter without saying a single word and left. A petite lady in a kebaya top, who was smiley and friendly, came to man the counter and attended to us. Anyway, I would like to express my gratitude to the staffs for their friendly and cheerful demeanor. Hope they continue to maintain their positive attitude.

I’m very happy with my stay at ASTON Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, the environment is comfortable, and the whole place is very clean. The breakfast also has many choices, which I really enjoyed. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying experience

The stay was okay, hotel looked posh from the outside so I was expecting a great stay. Like what other reviewers said, cleanliness at apartment side is really basic. Our feet were black after walking one round around the apartment. Kitchen top was dusty as well. Other that that, location is great.

Mixed Experience Due to Front Desk Issue We stayed as a family and booked 3 rooms in total. Upon arrival, only 1 room was ready for check-in, which was understandable, so we left to go shopping while the other rooms were prepared. When we came back at around 8:30pm, we checked in to the remaining 2 rooms and were given only 1 access card for one room, and 2 access cards for the other room. When I asked the staff why there was only 1 card for the room, she pointed to my child, which confused me. I even reconfirmed: “Does the child not need an access card?” She told me yes, so we went ahead believing everything was in order. The next day during check-out, we were told by another staff member that we were missing an access card and that two were issued in the system. She insisted that we had lost the card. I explained the situation calmly, but it didn’t seem to matter. After almost 10-15 minutes of going back and forth, I told her to check the CCTV footage, since I clearly remembered questioning the number of cards given during check-in. Finally, she said “it’s okay,” but honestly — it wasn’t okay. We were essentially accused of losing something we never received. I couldn’t help but feel that if we hadn’t questioned it, we might have been charged for a missing card. It was unnecessary, stressful, and left a very bad impression despite the rest of our stay being good. Everything else about our stay was pleasant — but this incident made us feel uneasy. I hope the hotel reviews their procedures so other guests don’t go through the same experience. Double-check your key cards at check-in to avoid any misunderstandings.

The two bedroom apartment is clean. Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast buffet spread. The room that we stay is directly west facing so can capture the nice sunset from the balcony. Location is about 15mins away from batam ferry terminal. Nearby has a minimart.

Pleasant stay, warm aervice and hospitality.  Room is spacious.  Good value for money. 10-15 mins Grab ride away to main shopping and eateries. The only feedback is the hotel gym closes at 9pm. The residences gym is open but we could not use even though we are hotel guests.  I wish there is some flexibility.
