A lovely Ryokan in a quiet residential area of Nagoya. Sweet couple running the place. Clean and comfortable room. I would stay again!

As a female solo traveler, I wanted a safe yet authentic Ryokan experience in the city center. This was it! A very nice older couple, a very very clean place. Right next door there is a traditional public indoor bath, which adds more flavor to the experience. Yes, the facilities are a bit old, but I felt clean & the things I need are all there. But yea, gotta keep it super quiet, you can hear ppl going up & downstair, etc, also I booked the room had to share the toilet. I think it's a good location because it's close to the big shrine I wanted to check out, and also a direct fast train nearby to the airport. For dinner options, recommend this cool old town style place also very nearby, Kanayama Komachi.

I was concerned about the price, so I have no complaints. Grandpa and grandma are very kind, I was traveling alone and didn’t understand the language, but my grandparents listened patiently to my explanations in English. My knowledge of a little English helped a lot. Please note that you have to go home before 0 o’clock in the evening.

The retro atmosphere reminded me of the times I stayed there as a child on a family trip, so it was nice to be reminded of the past.

He even wore a tie, which was really cute. I highly recommend friends who come to Nagoya to stay here. You can get to the city by bus. Here are things first-time movers need to pay attention to: 1. Since there are only two people in the hotel, grandparents, there will be access control, and no entry or exit is allowed from 00:00 to 06:30 the next day (the morning time is not sure). 2. There is a large bathtub in the public bathroom, where multiple people can take a bath together (I am not sure if there will be people I don’t know taking a bath together)

A Japanese-style inn run by an elderly couple who don't speak English very well but try their best to help. Although the bathroom is shared, it is very clean. When I left, they gave me a hand-made paper crane.
