Kobe Luminous Hotel Sannomiya Reviews

Love this hotel & Kobe so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Would stay here again when we visit Kobe in the future.

The location is fantastic. Beautiful and well maintained hotel. However, after observing one of the staff members my first thought was 'MOTTAINAI". Because, the female foreign staff named Hou has exhibited a low level of behavior for this hotel. Her eyes looked unfriendly, because she never had a smile. In fact, she made a remark and criticism about my question. It became clear to me she is the unprofessional type who is not suitable for such a nice hotel. Photos are from room #507 where carpets had noticeable stains.

This hotel locates beside the shoppiing street under the JR Sannomiya station(the Hankyu and Hanshin are in the same place). It just takes 5 minutes to walk to the platform if you did not stop for shopping along this popular area in Kobe. The hotel may be the best one I have ever lived alone with such price, it has big and clean room, great and new room stuff. However, it has a limited internet speed which even made me hard to use Google map in certain time, mostly during 8 p.m. to 10 p.m..

Breakfast spread was limited but sufficient. Location is relatively convenient walk to the station (autumn weather). Staffs are not very proficient in english, but google translates help.

The hotel is a bit far from the station, but the room was clean and well-equipped. Additionally, the front desk staff was courteous and attentive.

No turndown service but it’s mentioned that there’s such service…

It located near Sannomiya station and easy access to all tourist attraction and shopping area.

Advantages: clean, convenient address, convenience store nearby, very close to the station Disadvantages: The room is relatively small, and it is a bit narrow for a family of 4. You cannot open your luggage on the floor, but can only put it on the window sill.

I didn’t want to leave after playing for 3 days. I read the guide before and said that Kobe is too boring. It is only suitable for one day. Everyone has different ways of playing. I am a family. My father likes to eat, my mother likes to take photos and shop, and my son likes to collect dolls. So we couldn’t finish our 3 days in Kobe, and there were still many places we didn’t go to😭 Come next time
