"The facilities are excellent, but the dryer is too old. It costs a lot and takes a long time to dry clothes. I'd recommend not doing laundry here. Some staff members are poorly trained and can't answer basic questions. Even when I just tried to book the shuttle bus, they gave me a lot of conflicting information, showing a lack of communication. I borrowed a locker for my ski gear, but the next day they gave my locker to someone else, and I had to search everywhere for my boots. Both the buffet and Japanese restaurant food were outstanding. The reading room is large but always empty, which feels like a waste of space. The 'starry sky' onsen is fantastic, with an open-air bath and very clean (though they don't provide combs or towels – it would be perfect if they did). Overall, it's a great place for skiers, with well-equipped facilities! 👍👍"

"I was fast asleep with an eye mask on when I vaguely heard a woman's voice, followed by a man's voice, and then they started talking, the sounds becoming clearer and clearer. Damn! Was it some kind of ghost? I immediately took off my eye mask and jumped out of bed! I was even more terrified of ghosts than someone who hadn't slept enough! Who dared to talk so loudly in my room?! What? No way?! The TV turned on automatically, and it was the man and woman talking on TV! And it was only 6:30 in the morning! The next day, the TV turned on precisely at 6:30! Apparently, the hotel had a morning call set up on the TV every morning at 6:30! I was speechless! After turning off the TV, I ran back to bed, but less than 10 minutes later I heard a very loud metallic clanging sound. Seriously? Was there construction work that early? The noise lasted for at least five minutes, so I couldn't resist getting up again to go to the window to see what was going on! Passing by the heater, I realized the noise was coming from it. What's going on? I didn't even turn on the heater, why are you making so much noise? I was so angry I wanted to breathe fire and smash it! Then, when I went downstairs for breakfast, I saw the "Noise Notice" in the elevator, and I was speechless again… Location: Excellent, near the hot spring town. Just across the street from the back entrance of the annex is the "Akakura Onsen Ski Resort". Room: Very clean, comfortable beds, two free bottles of drinking water daily, and the electric kettle was also refilled, so you can drink water anytime. Onsen: Although there are three hot springs, most people only go to the large public bath because the other two are small and old. Parking: It has the most parking spaces of any hotel in the hot spring town. If it's full, you have to park at the "Akakura Onsen Guesthouse Parking Lot" next to the post office. Both cost ¥1000 per night. Breakfast: Average, nothing special. Ski Room: Just a locker for ski equipment. No heater, not a dry room, and extremely cold."

Miwa the manager and her family were all really sweet and super helpful! Super nice natural Onsen as well. Location is great; the hotel is on the Main Street in Akakura Onsen. Loads of different restaurants and bars right on the street + a convenient store. 5-10 minute walk to Akakura Onsen ski area. 15-20 minute walk to Kanko ski resort. And buses that take you to other ski resorts and the Myoko-Kogen station. Drying room for all your ski/snowboard gear. Great hotel✨"

"We used this hotel for a family trip. The service was poor considering the price. We will not be going back. * Parking: We arrived by car, but there were no attendants, and we had to park wherever we pleased. As a result, there wasn't enough parking space for the number of guests. * Gym Area: It was very disappointing. There were basic pieces of equipment, but only 7.5kg and 10kg weights. It was sparse considering the size of the space. Even though it was summer, the air conditioning wasn't on due to cost-cutting measures, and it was scorching hot. * Breakfast Buffet: You can choose between Western and Japanese style. I chose Western. Considering the price, the variety was limited. There was especially a lack of dessert options. It might be similar to the Priority Lounge at an airport. * Room: The bedding was clean. Upon entering the room, there was a slight musty smell, possibly due to the air conditioning. The bathroom and other areas were clean. The problem is the thinness of the door. You can hear everything from the hallway. I think sensitive people would find this upsetting."

"My husband and I stayed here for the hot springs. Since there is only one open-air bath on the premises, the open-air bath is open to men and women at different times, so you can't use the open-air bath whenever you like. Also, the indoor baths are very small (there aren't many washing or changing areas), and even though there are about 10 rooms, there aren't enough baths. The rice was certainly delicious, but I felt it was rather expensive. Therefore, it was a low evaluation for me, who was only interested in hot springs. I think it's good for those who prioritize food, but if you're looking for a hot spring, you should look elsewhere."

"The large public bath was a nice touch, and they even had umbrellas to lend when it rained, so they really thought of everything. Even though it was a smoking room, there wasn't much of a tobacco smell, and I had a comfortable stay. My only complaint would be the lack of restaurants within walking distance. Since it was a long weekend, I couldn't get into the nearby places, and had to walk for about 15 minutes in the rain to find somewhere."
