Candlewood Suites Murfreesboro

Curtains stained. Bathroom dirty. Toilet seat badly chipped. Very smelly room. Right next to elevator. I had stayed here with a friend previously and her room was fine, but I did have to get a room for just myself the last night and I’ve attached photos to prove the condition. The price was WAY too much for the room I got.

We travel with pets which can be challenge. Not here! Big, comfortable first floor room. The bed did not have any way to hide under it, if you travel with a cat this is important! Well appointed kitchenette makes things very easy. Room was clean and quiet. Checking in was fast and friendly. The area had many restaurants close. I highly recommend a stay here.

This hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the price was great for that area. I am back and see they remodeled the entire hotel and it looks amazing! I wish they were open now but they told us they’ll be reopening in the next few weeks. Definitely stay here next time.

First of all, I have to say that the desk person was VERY friendly and nice. That counts for a lot. The motel allows pets which is great because we were traveling with our cat. He only chirps, he doesn’t howl, so he doesn’t bother guests in neighboring rooms. They also allowed me to bring in my expensive new mountain bike. No way was I leaving it outside, so THANK YOU for being nice about it. In return, I made sure the tires were very clean! We stayed here two years ago, and stayed at the Candlewood in Smyrna, TN last year. Two years ago the room we had here was very clean compared to this time! And Smyrna last year was a pit…. We were very surprised at how far the room cleaning had gone downhill at the Murfreesboro Candlewood! There was food stuck on the table, food crumbs (a lot) on the carpeting, and the chairs at the table had food crumbs on them too. The easy chair was dirty and had a clump of white pet hair on the seat. The rest of the furniture was very dusty too. The closet smelled like bug killer spray and there were two empty shoe boxes and other garbage laying in plain view (YUCK!!!!!). The kitchen was not well-stocked. There was one coffee cup; I gave up my morning coffee so my husband could have some. (I did check the dishwasher.). Weirdly enough, the refrigerator/freezer was very clean on the inside but beat up on the outside. The bedding seemed clean, and the bathroom was clean. Didn’t find the tissues until we left, they were jammed behind the bathroom garbage can. Smokers were right by the front door of the motel. YUCK. And the people checking in after us couldn’t get it through their heads they couldn’t smoke in the room…. Lots and lots of cigarette butts and other garbage in the landscaping roses, which was just sad. With pickup drivers tearing through the parking lot, I was not too fond of the other guests. I wondered if our older but not trashed vehicle would either be hit or broken into overnight. Probably will stay somewhere else in October. Willing to pay more for a clean room.
