"Accommodation is situated in a remote area, where the actual lodging is a short drive in from the main reception area. Very basic accommodation, where even the hot water is limited! But given that it is family-run, the customer service was wonderful. I was freezing under my comforter and the staff brought a portable heater to our room."

"Centrally located close to domestic airport, gas station and supermarket. Hotel appears to be converted from an old building but is nicely maintained with a charming lobby. Room size is bigger than other Iceland hotels. Shower is only separated from toilet by a shower curtain, so bathroom would get a bit wet but not a big issue. Both dinner and breakfast are good. Better reserve for dinner as it gets busy. O sure washing machine is handy, although may need to wait a bit as there is only one machine. Staff are generally helpful. Overall a pleasant stay."

"The room is clean and has a small balcony, you can watch the midnight sunset, and there are historic churches and grass houses outdoors suitable for walking around after dinner to take pictures!"

"Beachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. No shoes policy helped keep the house clean. That is very good. I didn’t use the kitchen much except to make tea but seems like it is in good condition. Dishwashing liquid however was in a glass jar instead of pump. It’s strange cos you end up using too much for a small spoon and the jar is very slippery. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation."

"The hotel is located in the green forest on the outskirts, the environment is good, the hotel includes breakfast, family breakfast, very satisfied. The room was very clean, although the bathroom was shared, it was enough. Come live next time."

"Beautiful stay in the midst of nature. Spacious room and bathroom with lake view. There’s spa and heated pool in the premises. The road to the hotel as well as the surroundings are beautiful. Breakfast spread was good. It’s just 10mins away from Hengifoss waterfall by car."

"There's a lake next to it, but the view is average. There's no kettle, so you have to go to the front desk to get water, just like in college, and you have to walk outside to get to the front desk. The bed is small."

"Strategic location beside petrol station and bonus supermarket. Able to view aurora during clear weather with wake up call from hotel. Good breakfast. Advisable to book with breakfast as there’s nothing around in the morning."

"Good location with a lots of shops near by. Parking is free for guest. Rooms is tiny but clean, shower rooms and toilets are tidy as well. Kitchen is bit small without oven, u can cook some simple food there."

"Location: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area. But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? ! Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants Others: Located next to the road, with no airtight windows and poor sound insulation"
