We thoroughly enjoyed staying with our 3 boys in these rustic cabins in the cloud forest. Our stay in this family run lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to CR. Breakfast was awesome too! There was plenty of communal space around the lodge and lots of wild life to see. We hope to visit again soon.

My husband and I had a lovely time staying here! The treehouse style lodges are very private and quiet. Best of all, the couple who runs the green tree lodge were phenomenal hosts! They were so helpful with everything we asked for, and the breakfast they made was delicious. We felt that this stay was an incredible deal for how great it was.

Einzigartig. Kleine, sehr ordentliche, saubere und auf ca. 2-3 Metern hoch gelegene Zimmer mitten im Wald. Etwa 5 Autominuten vom „Stadtzentrum“ entfernt, wobei Santa Elena auch nur sehr klein ist, dafür eine reichliche Auswahl an Bars, Restaurants und Shops bietet. Alexander (der Besitzer) und seine Familie geben sich sehr viel Mühe um einen bestmöglichen Service zu gefährleisten. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr sehr gut. 10/10 Empfehlenswert.

The people that run this place are the best, sweet and friendly. They were authentic and kind and provide free breakfast in the morning! The lodges are small and comfortable, situated in the woods with the sounds of the forest. The wind can be gusty but it a nice ambiance. Highly recommend staying with them.

Do it! A perfect unique experience in wonderful cabins literally located in the middle of a small forest, but very close to the town. We went with family including many small kids, and they loved being able to roam in nature around the commons area (which is not in the forest), which you can freely use. Owners have their hearts invested in this, and will help with everything from booking tours to taxis to laundry. This is a gem.
