We stayed in Glass House 1.0 for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and had a great experience. Firstly the hosts were the best, they were very communicative from the moment I booked, helping us to arrange transportation from La fortuna to them, as well as onward travel to Samara. They were available on WhatsApp throughout our stay helping with various things. As we don’t have a car, they helped arrange taxis for us. The view from the house was simply amazing, and the hot tub on the terrace was fantastic. When we stayed there was a lot of rain and thunderstorms but sitting inside felt cosy, the house is stocked with everything you need (it was actually quite hard to leave!). We got a delivery one evening from the local restaurant because of the rain and it was delicious. Big projector so you can watch films at night. We saw toucans and a family of hawks land in the tree from the window, and monkeys on the grounds! Would highly recommended for a romantic stay!

One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. Every detail is absolute perfection - the views, the comfy bedding, the nice assortment of food, the privacy, kind and thoughtful hosts. One night was simply not enough! Hope to come back someday!

We were fortunate to stay for a few nights during our two week long trip to Costa Rica. The views from the glass house were stunning, from watching the changing weather to the vibrant wildlife. It’s an amazing place to stay with lovely staff and was our favourite in Costa Rica. We were torn when visiting monte verde on where to stay, Amalu was definitely the right choice and I would recommend if you are in the area to stay here

Exceptional view and experience. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were super responsive. Bed was amazing and they truly thought of every comfort and service (leaving fresh water, eggs, etc., the outdoor deck, the telescope, I could go on). It's worth it.

Uno de los mejores alojamientos en donde he podido alojarme. No solo por sus increíbles instalaciones y el lugar precioso donde se encuentra, si no por la atención de Aaron que estuvo en todo momento disponible. La “Tiny house” fue mi elegida y me sentí como en casa, llena de detalles que solo personas que aman lo que hacen como ellos pueden hacerlo realidad. Es un oasis si lo que necesitas es desconectar y conectar con la naturaleza. Si vuelvo a Monteverde me alojaré sin dudarlo de nuevo en el bonito Amalú.

Perfect! We stayed for two nights in the Black Glass House and wish we would have stayed here for our entire week in Costa Rica. The bungalow was luxurious, spacious, private, and what an amazing view! Worth every penny! Monkeys and Toucans right outside our room. Great hospitality by the staff. We will stay here again for sure! Loved every second. Thank you!

What a beautiful hidden gem! Amazing view of the mountains surrounded by so much nature. We were able to see a Tucan and Lapa Verdes right from the terrace. We absolutely loved it and hoping to come back again next time. Thank you to Andres and Mariela for a their great hospitality and all the amenities provided! It was a perfect getaway from everything!
