Bad points: I wish they would replace the bidet in the toilet and change the shower faucet in the room to one that maintains the temperature setting. It was my first time visiting Jodogahama, and it was a wonderful place. My whole family was able to make great memories. Thank you very much."

"I used it as an inn for sightseeing in Sanriku. The location is an inn on a hill along the sea, so the scenery is wonderful. You can also see the bath and the private bath in the room with a wonderful view. The meal was very satisfying, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious with the sea of Sanriku. Because it is a small inn, the service of the staff was very attentive, and it was the best that I was able to spend comfortably from the pick-up to the see-off. There are few inns in the vicinity of Miyako, but it is a very high quality inn that can be recommended with confidence. I want to go to another season."

"A very historic hot spring hotel founded in 1900. The rooms are very clean. The service was completely in accordance with the tradition. All the service staff in the hotel were very polite. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The dinner on the second night followed the tradition and was more advanced than the first night. The most rare thing is that breakfast is also a traditional Japanese set meal, which is really rare because many high-end hot spring hotels have now changed to buffet breakfast. After checking out, the female general saw that we had several large suitcases and asked the staff to drive us to the station. Thank you very much! Will come again next time! To add: There are supermarkets and many restaurants near the hotel, so everything is very convenient."

"The Hotel Art City is a small hotel located about 2.5 Km from Miyako train station. It is directly opposite Miyako Port and about 25 minutes walk from Jodogahama. So it is a good location if you want to explore the port and Sanriku Fukko National Park. There is stunning scenery all around the coast not only at Jodogahama beach. However if you don't have a car, walking into town is about a 30 minute walk through some unlit roads. There is a Lawson convenience store right next to the hotel and a couple of nearby restaurants which close at 2 or 3pm. The room was reasonably large with a western style bed and a Japanese tatami seating area and a view overlooking the port. The bathroom was very small, but there was a public bath on the sixth floor. There wasn't always somebody at the front desk. I think there may have only been a couple of staff, they spoke very little English, but were very friendly and helpful. There was a letter addressed to me with instructions in English and we used a translation app to communicate for other things. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Art City. I liked being close to the port and the National Park and didn't miss being in the town. If you don't have a car, a taxi will cost about 1200 Yen from Miyako train station to Hotel Art City."

"No bathroom in the rooms. Everything is very dated and old. We paid $250 for one night, very expensive for what it is even with dinner and breakfast There were hair on the bedsheets. No facilities Very unpleasant experience. The dinner was nice."
