March 10, 2025
We spent two weeks at this hotel. From February 21 to March 7, 2025. At first we wanted to spend a week, but then we stayed for another week. Before arriving, we called the hotel manager, Mr. Kumara, and asked for an early check-in at 9 a.m. They accommodated us and said that the room would be ready for our arrival and no extra charge would be required. Unfortunately, due to a number of inconsistencies, we were only able to arrive at 6 p.m. To my surprise, Mr. Kumara waited for us, showed us our room and told us about the hotel. The hotel is not large, perfectly clean, has its own courtyard, parking for cars or bikes. All rooms starting from the second floor have access to the balcony. There is a table and a couple of chairs near each room. In the evening, you can sit and admire the sunset. From the upper floors there is a magnificent view of the ocean and the Parrot Rock island located directly opposite the hotel. The room has everything for a comfortable stay. Good beds, a table with a rack and a separate rack for linen and all sorts of small items. A large mirror. A rack with hangers for clothes. In the bedside table there is an individual safe. The room is large, bright. Perfectly white walls. Furniture made of natural wood in the color "wenge". A pleasant contrast. The air conditioner works quietly, there is also a fan. The bathroom has everything you need, a shower, a toilet, a mirror with lighting. Everything is clean, no stains or mold, which we found in other hotels. What is most interesting and pleasant - no insects. No mosquitoes or ants. For Sri Lanka this is a rarity. You can sleep peacefully. There is also a shared kitchen. It has the necessary utensils, several kettles, a refrigerator. Bottled water, as well as a cooler. The location of the hotel itself is just perfect. Literally a couple of minutes walk and you are on the beach, in front of you is the island of Parrot Rock (be sure to climb it. The photos will be magnificent) which seems to divide the bay into two parts. On the right is Mirissa Beach - a large beach with a wide coastline and a wave for surf lovers. There are also many cafes with fresh seafood. In the evening, tables are set out and you can choose any fish, shrimp, lobsters, etc., which will be cooked for you right there. And to the left of Parrot Rock, a small bay, Turtle Beach, is closed from the ocean by reefs, there are practically no waves, even small children can safely swim in it. Surfers ride behind the reefs. Here you can also rent masks and fins, a surfboard. There are instructors who will help you master surfing. Diving, fishing, whale and dolphin watching tours are also available. Nearby is another very beautiful place, Coconut Tree Hill. Here you can take great photos. As for food, there are many cafes and restaurants for every budget near the hotel. Just fifty meters away is the Petti Petti Mirissa restaurant. This place is iconic for Mirissa. The restaurant itself has a pool where you can swim while your ordered dishes are being prepared. I highly recommend it. Well, and also, regarding the hotel, I would like to especially note the hotel manager, Mr. Kumar. He is a very friendly and helpful person. If you have any questions, he will always listen and help you solve them. Before leaving, I asked about the possibility of staying at the hotel until the evening, since our flight was at night. Not only did Mr. Kumar allow us to stay in the room, but he did not even charge us extra. He himself oriented us on the time and called a taxi for us at an affordable price for 8 o'clock in the evening. In addition to him, the administrator Kushan is always at the hotel. A cheerful, good-natured guy. He will solve any question about your stay. Do you need cleaning, a change of linen, towels or anything else. Feel free to contact him. In addition, he speaks good English. You can just chat or ask about the sights. I really liked staying at the hotel. It's a pity that it was only two weeks. Next year I will definitely come back here. Mr. Kumar, Kushan, thank you.
