AWON HOTEL MIRISSA ★★★★
"It was very comfortable to stay in AWON hotel, the room is so clean, the owner was very attentive to what I need, I recommend this place to stay."
Randiya Sea View Hotel ★★★★
"1. Almost no hot water. 2. We went whale watching in the morning, packed our luggage in advance, and told the front desk that we needed to be back before 11 am to shower upstairs. We also asked them to keep the key safe, and that we would check out if we were late. Good grief! We arrived at the hotel a little after 10:15 am, and they had already cleaned everything and then took us upstairs, expecting us to shower in another guest's vacated room?! This is absolutely terrible!"
Triple O Six ★★★★
"Triple O Six boasts a great location, right across from Coconut Hill, and offers spacious, well-designed rooms. However, the floors always seem slightly damp for some reason, which can get on your nerve. Another downside is the breakfast buffet charge—at 5000 LKR per person, it's just exorbitant. Despite these issues, the hotel remains a solid option for its location and comfort, just get your breakfast somewhere else."
Handagedara Resort & Spa ★★★
"A very high-quality hotel. The student interns provide excellent, lively service. They arranged everything for us, from snorkeling to a safari tour. It's also within walking distance to the beach, and there are many restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back here again."
Mirissa Beach Inn ★★
"The hotel is a bit dated. Our room was clean and tidy. The bathroom had hot water and was functional. However, the toilet seat was definitely past its prime. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was clean enough, but that doesn't really justify the price. The room smelled bad and unfortunately couldn't be completely eliminated by airing it out. We've stayed in nicer accommodations for the same price."
No 36 Mirissa ★★★
"A very pleasant, clean hotel. A quiet, comfortable room, a very peaceful location—no noisy roads nearby, quiet neighbors. The room has a good shower. The hotel has a small kitchen. The hosts were very attentive; they met us late at night upon our arrival, explained everything, and checked us in. The large Mirissa beach is about a 15-minute walk away. It's about a 5-minute walk to the main road, where there are shops and the Ikiri cafe, which is open until midnight."
Riverside Cabanas ★★★
"Excellent Service. Clean and neat room."
Beach & Bliss Mirissa ★★★★
"The hotel is very basic, especially considering its price. I wouldn't recommend it; it feels like a self-built house in a rural area."
Sailors Mirissa ★★★
"The guy running the guest house is very friendly, the location is central, however it is on a main road and from 05:30 onwards the buses, tuktuks and traffic beep and thunder passed making it a bit difficult if you are a light sleeper. The accommodation has a kitchen area for you to use (this was not pointed out to us when we arrived, it is located on the first floor), therefore you can make tea/coffee, have use of a fridge, plus there is free water refill, again an added bonus. Although the room was reasonably clean, the kitchen area could do with a bit of a scrub. The bedding was tired, and the towels acceptable, not a bad place to stay but Mirissa does seem to be a higher price, the accommodation in Bentota is of a higher standard for the money. Easy access to the beach which is just across the road where all the bars and restaurants are located too."

Coastal Villa Mirissa
"We stayed here in 2019 and 2020 when there were just two rooms in an enclosed private garden surrounded by palm trees and greenery. Chamil has now added three more bigger rooms and we stayed in one of these this time. Bright, clean, nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, tv, kettle, safe and large patio at both ends. Great bathroom with constant hot water and plenty of storage space. There is your own covered patio furnished with a table and chairs and two more comfortable chairs for relaxing. There is also a pull down shade to protect from sunshine if you need to. The garden has beautiful trees and plants around the perimeter which are lit up at night. It is a short walk down a lane filled with other guesthouses and local peoples houses to the road leading to the beach with restaurants, fruit stalls and bike hire etc. It is very quiet at night and monkeys can be seen swinging in the trees. We unfortunately had very unseasonal cloudy and rainy weather during our six nights in January which spoiled our holiday but at least we had a very comfortable place to sleep and relax in. Number one accommodation from the seven places we stayed in during our four weeks in Sri Lanka even though all the others were excellent too. "
Orchid Rest
"We had a room on the first floor with a balcony which had a table and chairs. The bed had a mosquito net around it which was necessary. The room was very clean and the hostess was charming and helpful. It wasn’t quite so near to the beach as we had hoped and the beach itself wasn’t particularly clean and tidy. In fact it was unappealing. We noticed a place advertising breakfast just a few yards as you turn right from Orchid Rest, but mistakenly didn’t ask the price. We were charged 1500 SLR. Although the photograph on line shows coloured umbrellas and tables outside the building, these didn’t appear to be available."
NiiRA Mirissa
"All I can say is this amazing hotel stands in a class of its own. We certainly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at this place, the staffs are really awesome, friendly and welcoming. Ravi, Amil, Chattu and the rest of the team, thank you for making our trip a wonderful one. I would certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends."
Glamour Mirissa
"We spent 4 nights at Glamour Mirissa. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a view of the sky. The owner, Roman, welcomed us over the phone right after we checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and had no problem preparing coconut-filled pancakes for breakfast. They also took care of our laundry willingly. If we needed anything, we could contact the owner, Roman, directly. He recommended restaurants and gave us travel advice. His wife Lucky organizes cooking classes for guests. The hotel is separated from the beach by only a local road. During our stay at Glamou Mirissa, we felt very comfortable, and thanks to Roman, the homely atmosphere was enhanced."
Mirissa Beach Villa
"Honestly can't explain how great this hotel is! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we really would have stayed for longer if we knew how great this place was. The rooms and swimming pools were lovely and we were right on the beach! Jagath and his team were soo friendly, welcoming, helpful and looked after us so much. Jagath is man of many talents, he was the general manager, chef and he had many other roles. He is honestly the BEST CHEF in Sri lanka. He made special vegetarian food for us and it was the best food we had in our Sri Lanka tour. Jagath really welcomed us nicely, cared for us so much and he always had a smile on his face. Everyone should really experience this incredible hotel and the amazing hospitality that Jagath and his team gave!!!"
The Spice House Mirissa
"We initially booked for 5 night in the new room at the Villa , but we decided to come 2 days earlier. We were put in the Star anise room for the extra 2 nights . The Villa room had 2 showers in & outdoor . Both rooms were lovely with shaded outside space and beautiful gardens . Wi-Fi available. Fridge . The Villa has a great covered area within the pool with comfy sofas/ beds . Air con & fan in room . You are surrounded by nature with monkeys , peacocks , birds ect If you are at the villa a tuk tuk will take you to & from the spice house for breakfast ect. Breakfast is fresh fruit , eggs , toast , jams ect . Phil & Whatatha are great hosts and helped us organise taxis ect . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them . The Villa has 2 apartments above each with 2bedrooms . Shared kitchen area. This would be great for large family groups . Don’t feed the monkeys !!!!"
Asaya Sands Mirissa
"Absolutely love this place. It’s so chill and the rooms are so clean and comfy too! You’re surrounded by the beach (and also a bit of nature). Love the service given by the staff and they tend to regular check in on how we are doing. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone that’s visiting Mirissa."
Esprit d'Ici Hotel
"It's across the street from Coconut Hill in Mirissa. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The night view is beautiful, and in the morning you can see crabs and mudskippers on the rocks. You can wade across the water to reach the small island."
Coastline Mirissa Boutique hotel and spa
Atulya Lake View Mirissa - Resort and Spa
"After the Sinhala New Year, we wanted some quiet time and decided to spend a couple of nights at our favorite resort. This time, an old friend and his wife joined us. I recommended this resort over his first choice, and they were very happy with the decision. They found the place to be quiet, classy, and well-managed, with excellent service. Three of us had professional massages that were pre-arranged by the resort. Next day, the ladies decided to explore the nearby beach towns, and the guys stayed back and enjoyed some relaxed conversations, reminiscing about good old times. The staff made sure we had ice-cold Lion Lager, to fuel our memory banks. I stayed there last November with my uncle and aunt who were visiting from overseas. My uncle, originally from nearby Matara, was really pleased to find such a nice place close to his ancestral home. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for peace and quiet, with beautiful surroundings and excellent service. It’s great for families, groups of friends, or colleagues spend some quality times together. Thanks again to Upatissa and the crew for looking after us so well."
Suwa Arana Resort
"General environment and average service attitude"
One World Mirissa
"Decent location close to Mirissa beach. No hot water and very little water pressure. Do not get a first floor room."
Calidan
"good experience 🖤"
ZelonCey Villa Mirissa
"Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. Himesh reached out immediately after our booking and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, helping us make the most of our time in Mirissa. Sanjana was always responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful, while Anjana went above and beyond by personally guiding us to Secret Beach and other hidden gems in the area. What makes this place stand out is the genuine warmth of this family-run establishment. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and were treated like family throughout our stay. A special mention goes to their mother, whose delicious homemade breakfast was one of the highlights of our visit. The property itself is spotless, modern, peaceful, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including excellent Starlink internet. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the hospitality is second to none. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mirissa. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future."
Peacock Wings Guest
"The room is decent for the price paid in this city that is very popular with tourists. However, you have to be a heavy sleeper! Lots of noise at night with the dogs and especially the road right next door... Add to that the cleanliness which isn't great and the wifi which doesn't work... the experience wasn't incredible... For one night no more!"
Secreat Mirage
"A mini-hotel run by a very pleasant married couple. The rooms are spacious, with air conditioning and a fan, and large showers. There are balconies on the second floor. The breakfast was delicious; we had no repeats in 14 days. Situated on a hill, there's always a gentle breeze from the ocean. A little distance from the center, so it's quiet, with monkeys and peacocks running around. Three beaches with different amenities and two family-run cafes serving local homemade cuisine and juices are within walking distance. We really enjoyed it."
