The room was clean, the facilities were average, but the accommodation was fine.
The view was really great.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, so be sure to prepare your own food and drinks.
The bathroom was not very user-friendly, and the water flowed outside when I took a shower.
The staff did not stay at the front desk all the time, and the driver could not contact anyone if there was a problem, which affected my mood a bit.

Good place to stay
Clean, comfortable, and spacious accommodations. Quiet. No complaints. Full kitchen. Lot of natural light through large windows. Good curtains for sleeping.
Propane grill not far away. Two community hot tubs (which was too hot).

View was amazing from our room . Could do with a little upgrades . Re bathroom , fan wasn't working, shower head to small . Couches in lounge not very comfy . Sheers / nettings on windows would be nice . Nice staff looked after us good price . Stairs a bit steep for us . Overall happy with our stay . Close walking to pools and restaurants.

Great service and excellent care by Paul and his team. The accommodation was excellent and I was sorry that I wasn't staying an extra day. The amenities were just right. Appreciated having a plunger and ground coffee, and the tea too was appreciated by my discerning palate. Our conference dinner was at the resort with a good range of food. It was there out of season and hence the staff complement was reduced. Nevertheless, everything was in order. Thank very much.

Staff member was so amazing and friendly and good location that unfortunately is where the good ends calling this a resort is a stretch the room was tiny and so dated very old falling apart the room was also full of condensation very very overpriced for what you receive i think for $200 plus a night you can definitely find better.

We decided to have a 1 night stop over on our way home from a weeks holiday, very disappointed tiny room, quite dated, bed was horrible, sagged in the middle sadly we won't be returning..we often stay at "Resorts" I certainly wouldn't call this a resort!

Amazing place to visit and stay that has outstanding views. The grounds are very well presented with accommodation that is safe and super cosy. Paul and Linda are outstanding hosts who go out of their way to make you feel valued and appreciated. We will be back.

Lovely stay, lovely food and staff that went out of their way. I stayed at the Brinkley Resort on a work trip with a group of around 13 people. I accidentally left a personal item in one of the rooms. They not only tracked it down for me but drove it to Christchurch on the same day to hand deliver it back. I can’t think of many accomodation places that would be as cooperative or obliging on such a high level. Most grateful and would definitely recommend if you are travelling thru Methven. x
