We would like have more cleaning service in the hotel and better cuisine also ☺️

We stayed for two weeks all inclusive in a deluxe room and absolutely loved the place. Overall it’s a great hotel in a fabulous location and we would definitely return. I have visited Mauritius 3 times before and stayed in different hotels each time , this one compares well overall with a few small niggles that if fixed could make it excellent. Room: Deluxe room was beautiful. Nice ground floor room close to the pool and beach with sea view. It was kept lovely and clean and furnished nicely. The bed was huge and comfortable. We really liked how spacious it was and appreciated having the separate dressing area and toilet . A couple of times housekeeping didn’t change the towels and we had to ask for a top up in shower gel but usually it was good. The walk in shower is lovely but the design leaves a huge spreading puddle on the floor no matter what you do with towels. There were nearly a few slips! The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. Beach: stunning. A picture perfect, quiet , spacious stretch of beach and beautifully clear sea. There are masses of sun beds with umbrellas so never a problem getting a spot at any time of day. It’s worth bringing some coral shoes as there are a few rocky parts in the sea, and snorkeling gear as there’s plenty to see straight off the beach. Beach service for drinks can be a bit slow depending on who is on duty but the staff are all very pleasant. Food: A bit mixed and the one area of the holiday I felt slightly disappointed by. The buffet restaurant was ok, if a little bit samey. We found the lunch times to be better than the dinners with the exception of the Indian night which was lovely. One day they had a conference and the guests used the same buffet- total chaos and massive queues. Banyan was a decent meal, from a reduced menu for all inclusive. We were quite happy with the offerings and enjoyed visiting once each week as per the AI deal. Fillaos BBQ restaurant was quite enjoyable , a buffet service of steak, chicken, sausage and fish with various vegetables and sides. We enjoyed the food and the relaxed, feet in the sand , open BBQ . Anno was a nice 5 minute stroll away in a really nice setting. It was a shame it wasn’t open more often- just once per week when we were there. We enjoyed our burgers and were satisfied to pay the supplement to eat there (you each get 455 rupees credit towards your meal as an AI guest) it’s a bit of a shame that your drinks must be paid for here unlike at the other restaurants. The couple at the next table were complaining that their meal was awful so we didn’t have high hopes but our burgers turned out to be tasty. There was a bit of a strange situation with drinks menus which were given to everyone , which when we tried to select things we were told we couldn’t have those wines or beers , we had to choose from another smaller menu, which they brought along later?!? Not sure why they would give out menus you don’t want guests to use …. Le m

We had a first class experience at the Maritim....the hotel facilities, restaurants and beach is wonderful but what makes this hotel so special are the staff that work there. We had a fantastic greeting at the reception and were shown to our room which was a Deluxe double. Beautiful room (265) with a terrace that led on to the garden and had a fantastic sea view - perfect for watching the sunset! We were so impressed with the staff, but wanted to mention in particular just a few that went above and beyond and made our stay so special....Melena, for our wedding vow renewal arrangements, Ooday who makes the best cocktails at the Nest bar, Khushi for amazing hair and make up and massage at the spa, Sachin the Golf Pro, Dario for exceptional horse riding experience for my wife, Chef Shameer at the Anno, great food. Chef Nallan from the Mon Desir Restaurant, what fabulous food and our waiter Govine. - make sure you visit this restaurant at least once during your stay! Rakesh for amazing wedding breakfast on the beach, Varum waiter at the Anno, Maree and Fabrice on the quarter deck bar. And not forgetting Diah who always had the biggest smile and greeted us at the breakfast reception each day at the main restaurant. Thanks for an unforgettable holiday - would definitely recommend this hotel!

My family n i went to Maritim resort n spa at Balaclava to celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary where we have cherished very special moments, concerning the atmosphere, the sunrise n sunset view, the games, the food and the staffs.
