The hotel has no equipped parking. You will have to leave your car on the side of the road.
There is no beach as such.
There is a breakwater with steps. But when swimming from it you can step on a sea urchin. Also, sometimes you can feel the current from the waves and this creates an additional level of discomfort when swimming.
A very interesting place for snorkeling, but the nif is not alive and they are only trying to restore it.

We stayed for 5 nights with 4 kids. Overall the guesthouse is ok, but probably not well suited to young families. Pros- We had a lovely spacious apartment with a beautiful view Staff helpfully organised dinner to be ready for us after our late arrival The spot cafe is nice Breakfast was good but the breads and pasties got progressively more stale each day. Cons- Dogs allowed to wonder through the reception and into the kitchen Extremely windy Service was ok, but the reception was often unattended As above, breakfast items were stale The location isn't great for young families because the beach isn't great for swimming- very windy and boats going by.

Un vrai petit coin de paradis ! Le personnel est chaleureux, accueillant et toujours prêt à rendre service. L’appartement était magnifique, très propre, bien aménagé, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer, un vrai bonheur au réveil. Le petit déjeuner était sympa servi face a la mer. Mention spéciale pour le petit resto sur place : super ambiance, bonne musique, plats savoureux… On s’y sent tout de suite bien. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Très bonne chambre d’hôtes, avec accueil gentil et accès direct à la côte / plage avec ses poissons multicolores! C’est l’endroit idéal pour les amateurs de snorkeling : on sort de la chambre directement en tenue de bain avec la masque ! Bon petit déjeuner. Restaurant très sympa dans leur propriété en face. Nous avons pris la chambre face à la mer et nous étions contents.

Si vous n'aimez pas le faste, le clinquant, la démesure des gros hôtels impersonnel, le Chantauvent est le pied à terre qu'il vous faut à Blue Bay !!! Le calme, la simplicité et l'authenticité d'un établissement à taille humaine, avec un personnel génial, pour un séjour idéal au bord de l'eau ! Une très jolie chambre lumineuse vue mer, une petite piscine pour se détendre, un petit déjeuner copieux ( les crêpes sont à tomber par terre !!!), le personnel bien-veillant vous conseillera toujours avec le sourire pour toutes questions ou organisation, des petits restaurants aux alentours, et une eau cristalline à vos pieds ! Bien évidemment, je conseille, et nous reviendrons !!!

A mixed experience with this guest house. First, it is a prime location with it private beach. I would strongly recommend to pay the extra to have a beach front bedroom, as all the others are on the other side of the road and very inconvenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good, especially their crepes and taken in the room overlooking the lagoon. The downside is the owners of Chautauvent do not maintain their place, and it's very old, poorly maintained with bugs. Old furniture, not really clean because it is understaffed and the only brave ones can only do what they can. Do not count on the snorkelling gear, they are half broken and others in poor condition. However they have 4 canoes, 2 of them for 2 people which are good to go explore the lagoon and watch the fish and magnificent corals just meters away from the hotel. Plenty of air traffic right above the hotel, so in the evening, until last flight, it can be noisy, other than that the guest house is very calm. Advantage is when you are on a connection flight, you are only 10 minutes away from the airport. It has its own very small restaurant, and you need to book to get a spot, otherwise there is 2 other restaurants a few minutes away, and also you can dine at the 4-star hotel next to the guest house and enjoy their night entertainment.
