"We visited Buchau for the first time as a family of 4 in January 2025. Two girls 4.5 & 6 years. It was just perfect. The staff, the food, the hotel, the pool & slides, the wine, the kids' activities, our room, the ski school, the people, the slopes, the scenery, pony rides. We got so lucky with amazing weather, a snow dump, and sunshine. For us the skiing was the right fit. We were rusty and wanted time with the kids, so we skiied for 1.5hrs most mornings whilst the girls did ski school. Rofan ski area is tiny compared to the big resorts we have been to before, but perfect, empty and scenic for our needs. The ski school team were fab, (the classes are quite big). There is a free taxi that takes you to the lift wherever you call or request (5 mins) I nearly forgot to mention the spa and outdoor pool. Both are wonderful. We were either on the slopes, swimming or eating! It was quite nice being the only English too. Lots of Swiss, Germans & Austrians, and a very friendly family vibe. It was truly all-inclusive, and they have thought of everything to make a family holiday a time to connect. You really don't have to think about anything. Would we recommend, yes. Hotel Klingler ★★★

"I loved this hotel. I flew into Munich and was headed down to Serfaus, Austria. After arriving from a long flight, I did not want to drive the entire way, so I chose Hotel Klinger as my 1st stop for 2 nights -- break up the drive and give myself a couple of days to get over jetlag before heading into the main part of my trip. It's a very easy drive from Munich Airport -- only about 1.5 hours. And it's a perfect location for a 1st stop -- easy to find, parking, a grocery store at the ground level (if you find you've forgotten to pack something), a bank across the street, several nearby restaurants, a bike rental place, etc. The room was nice, although I found the enclosed balcony a bit of a weird room -- and it doesn't allow fresh air straight into the bedroom. Their breakfast buffet was very nice, and everyone I encountered that worked there was friendly. It's also pretty affordable. I would definitely stay here again."

"The Alpenhotel Edelweiss is a good hotel with fair price and a resonable all-in formular. Dont expect 5 star luxury! It is 3 star and that describes it well. Rooms could be renovated, sure, but are clean and not too small. The lounge is ve"ry nice and it is only 20m to the ski lift up the mountain."
