"Normally they don't accept children but when we made the reservation it was open for children so we were able to accept children through the system. There is no car going to the hotel, the road is very difficult, the reception staff carried our luggage like porters (even though they were women). We waited at the reception for more than 10 minutes. They don't have breakfast, if we want they suggest climbing the stairs again to their upper branch. They don't offer transfer service. We took a taxi and went. No matter how bad it was, there was no one to explain the whole situation in detail and in a sweet way. The staff who cleaned our room was a complete fiasco, he was yelling on the phone in front of our window at the crack of dawn. We didn't even complain about the tough guy who was smoking right next to our table where we had breakfast and blowing his smoke on us. He was neither a customer nor an employee as far as we could tell. We came after reading the comments but unfortunately all the employees were incapable of putting two words together. The people whose names were mentioned in the comments were not there. We even suspected that we came to the wrong place. I don't know how it was before but my advice to those who will come after reading the comments; This is a hotel that is not worth its current conditions and prices. I would never recommend it."

"We spent three nights in this beautiful hotel and loved every minute of it. It has beautiful rooms, sparkling clean and beautifully furnished with attention to every detail. It has a terrace with an exceptional view, where we enjoyed delicious breakfasts and pleasant evenings. And most importantly, it has wonderful staff. The owner of the hotel, Mr. Selman and his son Fehmi helped us whenever they could and made sure that we were always comfortable. And Mr. Sevket, this generous man with a calming presence, always had a kind word for our children, walked us to a great restaurant when we could not find a way and brought us breakfasts and tea to enjoy on the terrace. We only write reviews when we find a true gem and this was definitely one of them. Thank you to everyone from Hanedan Konagi Butik Otel for your warmhearted attitude and for making our stay with you a wonderful experience we will remember forever!"

"Hello Babil Konağı employees, we arrived on October 6, left on October 10, we come 3 times a year to Mardin, we stayed here upon the recommendation of a friend, we are glad we did, everything is perfect, especially room 1034 is a real mansion room, more precisely a king suite. Mr. Mahmut, thank you for everything, see you soon. We recommend it. Höşmerim for breakfast is interesting but I would have never guessed that I like it very much.. Our dessert there is normally very nice to adapt it in Mardin... Try it."

"A beautiful hotel! In the center of the old city. Nearby taxis, buses, shops, the main area of the city, lots of restaurants, archaeological museum, tour desk. The hotel price is not very high. Breakfast is small but delicious and saturated. Hotel is very authentic, such folklore, colorful. I love such places. Staff is very nice and friendly. We had a nice, cozy, quiet room. Very good mattresses. Tea, coffee, water in the room. On the third floor, an open track with views of Mardin and Syria."
