"For the record, I did not stay at the property. I was booked to stay for a tour of the castles. However, I was made redundant 1 month before the trip. I contacted the property asking to cancel the booking and a refund if they managed to rebook the rooms (as I booked on a no cancellation booking). They replied to say they would not, and would I no longer be attending? I appreciate it was not their fault, but if they could have rebooked the rooms, and not been out of pocket, was it too much to ask for a refund, with 1 months notice? Times are hard enough without people profiteering out of other’s misfortune."

"This is a hotel run by Indians, you can experience it yourself. I don't know how this kind of hotel got 4 stars. There were two big spiders in the room, and there were no blackout curtains. It was bright early in the morning, and there was not even a kettle like in a 4-star hotel. It was a bare room. The single room was just a 0.5-meter small bed. Check-in was still the usual routine. When the front desk saw Chinese people, they would arrange the worst and noisiest room near the elevator. Then when I asked him to change rooms, it was fully booked. There was no one there, but it was fully booked. As I booked the wrong date and arrived at the hotel very late, I could only book offline. The Indian boss started to raise the price. The employee just mentioned 80 euros, but maybe he didn't hear what the employee said, so he directly raised it to 100. He asked him to communicate to cancel the room for the wrong date, and he said that he would get a reply from the manager tomorrow, and said that the manager would come tomorrow. Then when I communicated the next day, the manager needed to take a vacation until next week, and the Indian boss was nowhere to be seen. Anyway, he was full of lies and nonsense. In fact, there was no manager at all, which is also the usual routine of these Indians."
