Good price, handy location for me and my old university mates from decades ago when we returned to old haunts. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Clare, who offered to register my car for the included parking space, once I knew I would be arriving before opening time and had to leave the car there immediately. All in all, a great experience and breakfast at Junipers just a few yards away

A great budget stay in a nice area
Great value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy with crisp white linen and good pillows. Our room was much larger than expected, light and bright. The sofa was a nice touch. The en suite was functional and warm. Our room overlooked the car park so was quiet. Whilst The Spread Eagle doesn’t serve food, there are loads of eateries very nearby. All in all a great choice and one we shall use again.

Very basic not very clean cobwebs across the ceiling just not very nice didn’t feel comfortable at all.

Good location, needs a bit of TLC
Staff were friendly and helpful on our arrival. Room very spacious but in need of a thorough clean. As it's a pub you expect a bit of noise from below until last orders which didn't bother us but bear this in mind if you want an early night!
