"I only stayed 1 night. At about 11pm.the bathroom ceiling was leaking a lot of water. The hotel receptionist viewed the my room checked upstairs then returned with a towel. I had to ask for a change of room. In the morning my new room the shower didn't work. I will be asking for a discount on any future bookings"

Britannia Sachas Hotel Manchester ★★★

📍 12 Tib St, Back Piccadilly, Manchester

"Right in the city center of Manchester, close to two train stations. The facilities are a bit old, which is to be expected for an older hotel. The service was pretty good too; I paid a little extra for an upgrade."

Holiday Inn MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE by IHG ★★★★

📍 25 Aytoun St, Manchester

"The room's location is great, very close to the train station. It has air conditioning, but Manchester isn't particularly hot anyway. The shopping center is also nearby. Breakfast is Western-style with a decent variety. There's also a Chinatown nearby with Chinese restaurants."

MALACUNA Manchester

MALACUNA Manchester ★★★

📍 15 Hilton St, Manchester

"Such a great place to stay! Amazing location especially if you’re there for the night life!! The rooms were so great. The beds with the curtains and lights were super comfortable and had great privacy- felt like a capsule hotel! Aircon worked great. £9 breakfast was so delicious! Cons: Not a social hostel. Interesting (strange) clientele. Not really fault of the hostel and just bad luck I suppose, but I would be remiss to mention- I ended up moving to a 8 person mixed dorm because the 4 person female dorm I booked had guests that were very visibly dirty and pungently smelled like fish and sh*t (stunk up the room). I asked to be moved immediately and was accommodated. I was not offered a refund (for the price difference), however, when I asked for free breakfast for the room downgrade + negative experience and was given it which I appreciated."

Travelodge Manchester Ancoats Hotel
8.2 (48 reviews)

Travelodge Manchester Ancoats Hotel ★★★

📍 22 Great Ancoats St, Manchester

"Friendly helpful staff (Faith), had a situation with the wifi voucher but that was quickly resolved (my error). Hotel closes around 11pm but you can use your key card to gain entry. Rooms are basic but have all you need for a night stay. Tea/coffee facilties in the room, hair and body wash in the bathroom and plenty of towels. Breakfast had everything you could ask for and staff were friendly when asking for top ups (Joy) wouldn't hesitate to rebook there again"

"From the second we entered we felt welcomed by the staff. It was early morning when we got there. They offered to take out bags while we went walking which was great! A request to check in early was dealt with promptly & allowed. The room was spacious with hot water and clean bathroom. We had access to the gym and swimming pool which we took up. I have nothing to fault in here about the lovely place. I want to speak about a particular member of staff who was infectiously happy, positive and at times overly helpful- Denim is a fantastic member of staff to have and because of her and the dark haired girl who worked with her, made our trip just that bit more pleasant. We will be back a second time."

"Attending an annual conference in the UK, I found the hotel incredibly convenient, being just a two-minute walk to the convention center. I'd say this is the best hotel in Manchester; both the facilities and service were excellent. The breakfast was delicious, and the bar also offered a great atmosphere. It's my top choice for business travel. The only minor downside was that the curtains didn't close tightly enough."

Holiday Inn MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE by IHG ★★★★
"The room was very spacious, with a large bed and a sofa bed separated by a wall, creating two distinct areas. It had large floor-to-ceiling windows, directly facing a beautiful church building across the road. The bathroom was also very roomy, with both a shower and a bathtub, each in its own independent space. The bathroom also had a heated towel rail, which was very convenient for drying clothes overnight. Breakfast was quite extensive, offering various breads, fried eggs, roasted tomatoes, green salads, and drinks like different coffees, juices, and hot milk. It was a full English breakfast, and staff would assign you a table. I even forgot to take photos!"

Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly ★★★★
"Overall, it was a very good experience! Pros: 1. **Convenient Location:** A 10-minute walk to the train station, 10 minutes to a large supermarket, and 20 minutes to the city center. 2. **Easy to Find & Safe:** Located right on the main road, easy to find, and the surrounding area felt safe. 3. **Extremely Quiet:** This was the most important factor for me. Excellent soundproofing, not a single noise at night. 5. **Perfect Blackout Curtains:** 100% effective, which is also very important to me! You can draw the curtains and not be affected by sunlight. 6. **Well-Designed Room:** Although not large, the room design was extremely efficient. Great flow, plenty of outlets, a long desk that was very convenient for putting things on, and lots of hangers with space for drying clothes. Very convenient! 7. **Great Value:** Affordable price, excellent value for money. Cons: 1. **Unenthusiastic Staff:** The staff were not very enthusiastic. 2. **Door Glitch:** Surprisingly, the room door could be opened without a key card after it was closed. Thankfully, it was fixed promptly. 3. **Faulty Air Conditioning:** The AC would stop blowing air after a while, and after setting it to 26 degrees, it would automatically change to 24 degrees. 4. **No Window for Ventilation:** No windows, so ventilation relied solely on the AC, which was not working well. But overall, it was very good."
