Guan Gong Hotel Jin Shang Development Jonker Street

Don't bother wasting your money on this hotel(黑心酒店). Don't expect someone to be at the front desk to check out early at 6 or 7am in the morning. Upon checking out, I tried to contact the hotel number to check out, the owner advised me to just leave the keys at the counter. 4 hours later after checking out, the owner spams called me 3 to 4 times while I was in a meeting. While answering the call the owner immediately tried to pin the blame on me, where there is a broken window. I tried to inform the owner that i did not go near the window or touch the window. But he insisted on putting the blame on me. He doesn't understand English, spoke to him in Mandarin but is still trying to pin the blame on the guest. Had to raise my voice to inform 'I didn't even touch the window. If there is a broken window, shattered glass should be on the floor? But there isn't any. The owner then only ends the call. Find better hotels around rather than this.

Nice budget hotel. Sure, there was no TV, wifi was splotchy due to upgrading works, an occasional mosquito that probably flew in from outside. Otherwise, cannot beat the service - very nice friendly staff - always ready to help, can store luggage for short period before check in and after check out, clean space, comfy bed, aircon was great, toiletries smell nice, powerful rainshower and gorpeous toilet bowl with all the electric works. Also, location, location, location. Appreciate being able to pop in and out to escape the heat and rest between visits to attractions. Great food stores, 24hr convenience stores and atmospheric cafes nearby. Despite being so close to Jonker street weekend night market, it was pretty quiet, allowing for good sleep. Definitely coming back on next trip to Malacca.

All perfect, personal, room, place. Nice bed and pillows. If will be again in Malakka then will be stay there hotel. Recommended

Location: It's at the start of the Jonker night market! Good walk to pass the shophouses every day too. Cleanliness: Basically ok. Service: Front-desk guy was friendly and helpful to inform us that the room was ready while we roam around the streets. Facilities: Very basic amenities. No television which my kids were feeling disappointed ＜laughs＞.
