Oscar on Main Beach Resort

The apartment was large and the view great however, this hotel needs some serious upgrades. The skirting around the floor were all broken and coming away, some parts even missing, the rooms smelt of mould and the bathrooms are so outdated and damp. The photos are deceiving.

This property is falsely advertised as a resort, but it's actually just a basic furnished apartment in a residential tower. Guests share facilities like the garage and pool with full-time residents, which makes it feel more like Airbnb—definitely not a resort experience. The apartment was dusty and poorly maintained, with very old furniture and unclean corners. The worst part was finding a labeled box in the fridge that said “don’t open”—clearly not something that belonged to us. Management was dismissive and refused to take responsibility. The building is surrounded by loud construction, making it impossible to relax. It’s also far from central areas, restaurants, and attractions, so location is not convenient either. When we politely requested a refund after leaving early, the management became defensive and later accused us publicly of dishonesty. Instead of resolving concerns professionally, they chose to blame the guest and even disclosed personal details—completely unacceptable behavior in the hospitality industry. Tripadvisor travelers deserve better. I strongly recommend researching the property address before booking—you’ll find several apartments in the same tower being sold privately. That says it all. I would not stay here again, and I suggest others avoid it too.

Have stayed here before- what a different experience. The apartment had nice views but a little tired. Stingy in terms of what was supplied. 1 towel each for six nights, 2 tiny toilet rolls for each bathroom, 2 little pkts laundry and dishwasher cleaner. Not even a plunger for us to make coffee in the morning. Spa pool not working. Then to top it off my partner told ‘get your bike downstairs’. He inadvertently parked in wrong place (not on purpose, we are not mind readers) - a threatening letter attached to his bike saying lawyers would be involved. So unkind. We paid over $2k for 6 nights. Main Beach - noise and fumes from trucks. Building going on all day. You can’t get to the beach and had to walk 20 mins to get access. Do yourself a favour stay away- there are plenty of other options.

Decent sized apartment with nice outlook of trees in a quiet street. In the cold weather I particularly enjoyed the hot spa and steam room. The gym is also decently sized getting sunshine during the day. The kitchen is well stocked and it has the usual amenities for a comfortable stay. Staff friendly and professional and it is good value for what I paid. The only real negative for me was that I found it a little bit cold (coming from Panama) as the room gets no sun. There was a heating system it didn’t operate the first night. Staff gave me three heaters to deal with this on hearing the next day so I had plenty to keep me warm. Close to decent bars, restaurants and shops (including convenience store) and nearby Tito TEDDEI Street) and about 10 minutes to the 😎Beach (actually much closer but much of the beach is now temporarily closed off ). Recommend
