Lovely afternoon tea, made all the more pleasant by our waiter Sam, who was very attentive. Food was one of the best afternoon tea selections we have had, with the additions of the quiche and sausage roll ‘the icing on the cake’. We couldn’t eat it all, but that didn’t matter as it still tasted lovely after travelling home in a smart doggy box. We walked off the afternoon tea with a gentle stroll around the well-manicured grounds.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by English countryside . A really relaxed atmosphere & friendly , attentive staff including Matt , Nathan & helpful reception staff . We needed extra keys & photos taken - nothing was too much trouble . Food was also lovely and they take cash which is important to me .

Lovely entrance to the grounds. Wish we'd shown our daughter the venue before she chose. Hotel were setting up the weekend booking. Had only reserved the tea on the day but we were warmly welcomed by our server Luke. He took the trouble to explain everything to us and attentively took care of us throughout. Delicious choice of the three levels of tea and an interesting selection of teas. We will be back.

What a hotel and restaurant! If you haven’t been here this is one to see. The rooms are beautiful in this Georgian building by a lake which is so quiet with wonderful views. The restaurant downstairs is a beautiful room where people have room to move, people can talk in private but most of all, the staff. Matt in the dining room was brilliant and so were the other staff members. The food is also something to shout about and this is one restaurant we will be coming back to.

Have just returned from another 2 night mini break. As usual , we and our 2 dogs were given the Reynolds's room even though when booking were told it was taken (nice surprise as it's a perfect room if you have dogs) This is probably our 7th or 8th visit but we keep coming back even though we live less than an hour away. We were greeting like old friends and looked after impeccably throughout our stay. (They even remember your favourite biscuits and ensure they are put in the room for you) Lovely dinner in the restaurant on our first night (perfectly cooked beef Wellington for 2) which was reasonably priced and left us no room for dessert, fabulous afternoon tea on second day and great breakfasts (even though we were late the first day they still accommodated us, sorry about that 😞) The staff as always were lovely. They are friendly, professional and a credit to the general manager who we had the pleasure of meeting on this occasion. Special thanks as always to Amelia, Ella, Matt & Dan for making us so welcome once again (it was lovely seeing you all again). See you soon when we come back just after Christmas . Thank you.. Sean & Charlie

Chilston Park wedding Saturday 11th October. We got married at Chilston Park on Saturday. We fell in love with this venue, as soon as we saw it. Molly our events planner was brilliant from start to finish, she responded promptly to emails, messages. Matt was amazing on the day, nothing was too much trouble. We also had a few other unusual requests, such as storing a hoist in the disabled toilet for my mother in law. The chef Ali did an amazing job of the wedding breakfast and Indian buffet in the evening. The grounds are also amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel as a wedding venue, it really is a hidden gem this hotel. We can’t wait to return for dinner soon!

I did not stay in the hotel only went for afternoon tea celebrating my birthday. They gave me a nice spot in front the fire. The afternoon tea was here k was the festive option. The scones were delicious, the sausage roll good quality, I will say the selection of mini cakes were a bit too sweet for me. They have a great variety of tea. Service was okay. They forgot to offer me sugar for my tea or an extra set of cutlery I ate some salmon sandwiches and then with the same knife I had to apply the cream for the scones not. Extra spoons for the cream and jam . Toilets were ok. You can pay with car or cash. I loved the relaxing music and the grounds. You definitely need a car to reach this place.
