The property is surrounded by greenery and well maintained. I stayed for one day only but would like to stay again little longer. Food quality is also good. The staff is polite and well behaved. Sighting of peacock is icing on the cake. My family and especially the kids loved this property.

Its unbelievable that a place like this exists in crowded madurai. we were particularly impressed by the courteous staff. A special mention of chef Tapan sahoo who went out of the way to show extreme care to meet our expectations. The whole resort gave a feeling of having been in a hill station

Staff were exceptionally welcoming and willing to extend themselves beyond the call of duty to support my dietary requirements. Front office Manager, Soby welcomed with so much joy, as though we were royalty, wow, just wow!!! Executive Chef Tapan served us with so much exuberance, eagerness and enthusiasm to prepare meals according to my needs. Manager of housekeeping, Manas expressed himself in essence of “Atithi Devo Bhava”. Beautifully situated property. Even though this property is not on the same level as some of the Taj and Leela palaces that I have had the pleasure of experiencing, these 3 managers made us feel like we were home and were authentically serving us from selfless acts of love, caring and kindness. They are truly the essence of Atithi Devo Bhava. Thank you for your hospitality.

It is a beautiful location amidst nature. Courteous staff and great food. I was supposed to stay for one night but extended for another night. Since it is a heritage property, it does require some maintenance but overall a great stay. Pandien was extremely helpful and the coffee at the forest was amazing experience.

To Vishal Srivastava, We, a group of 8 from America, stayed at your hotel on Nov 7th. Great hotel, great stay. One of the events was mixing the ingredients for the Christmas cake (see pic below), which was a lot of fun. The head chef told us it would ferment for 40 days, then they would bake the cake. We would be delighted if you could send us a couple of pictures of the baked cakes. I wrote the above email to Ashok N, but got no reply. Hopefully you will see this & send a picture. Thanks.

This is a lovely relaxing place to stay with resident peacocks and a calm atmosphere. Our room was excellent..spotlessly clean with an outdoor sitting area and a view over the city. We really enjoyed the nature walk with Mr. Munaswamy who was very knowledgeable. Although we coincided with a big party, which meant that the dining room was sometimes very busy, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming.

I had booked two colonial rooms for 3nights at gateway Taj Madurai. I was pleasantly surprisedon my arrival to see not only staff but also greeted by peacocks. Trust me never seen so many peacocks fearlessly roaming around in the entire place. Very huge resort amidst the nature. It is on pasumalai. Hills. Mr. Sahu chef was very helpful and friendly person. Housekeeping manager Mr.manas was also cheerful and pleasant person. Mr. Das a. Trainee in the resort was helpful. r
