"From June 7, 2025, to June 17, 2025, we stayed at the beautiful Caimito Beach Hotel again, this time for the fourth time. And every time, it feels like coming home. The owner always greets me with a warm smile and the words "Welcome back, my friend"—a small gesture, but so precious. Everything about this hotel is perfect: the rooms are spotless, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful (+++ rating!), and the beachfront location is ideal for those seeking peace, nature, and hospitality. We are so happy to have discovered this hidden gem in Maasin. I live partly in Belgium and partly in General Trias, Cavite, and my in-laws live in Hilongos (Leyte). So we know the region well, and I can say with certainty: this hotel is among the absolute best in Southern Leyte. Extra tip: the restaurant is excellent! You can dine indoors or on the cozy terrace. Everything is freshly prepared and served with love. Definitely try the spaghetti bolognese—it's simply +++! For me, this stay is always an 11 out of 10. To anyone visiting South Leyte: look no further – this is the place you want to stay."

"Beyond my wildest expectations. I retired in the Philippines and have had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout this beautiful country. Resorts in the Philippines can be a hit or miss proposition. Unfortunately most severely lack in the areas of customer service, cleanliness and basic maintenance. The concept of pocketing every peso over reinvesting into the property unfortunately seems to be the norm. The great news is this resort is a unicorn. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. The owners personally great you and show you to your room. The rooms are tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean and modern. The restaurant's menu is extensive and the quality and presentation above par. My only complaint was they allowed smoking in the restaurant area (only place I've ever seen that allowed in the Philippines). Would I recommend this resort to friends and family? I think you already know the answer to that question. 😊"

"If you are a solo traveller, maybe this is not the best place for you. The rooms are OK- cold AC, spacious, good linens (although stained). Shower head is more of like a hose draining water on you in one heavy stream. Resort is currently upgrading the rooms by the cliff that appears to have been devastated by typhoon. No construction works but not good to look at. Pool tiles and grouting are greenish. Wooden deck by the pool is in bad shape- they closed a portion but I would not trust the open portion. Food is not spectacular. Utensils given to me were not washed, sticky rice is riddled with insects weevil, ordinary Filipino fare. Sounds during their bbq night-very tacky. Location is OK but not special. Small cove of white sand at an area good for swimming. First day and it is littered though I saw an elderly staff cleaning it in the morning. Trash brought in by tides accumulate in the afternoon. Also roads from the main high way to the resort is rough so do not spend the evening outside as it will be tricky getting back. Staff- very few try. Majority are snobbish and lack enthusiasm maybe because I am a solo traveller that was why they brush me aside quite often. Save for the elderly cleaners and one FO guy- all of them do not smile and lack the warmth of a hospitality worker. I saw two servers warmly engaging a couple while coldly dismissing me. During my whole stay, this was the consistent experience."

"What can I say. Such a great experience. The vibe was excellent. The staff extremely tentative and helpful both in the hotel and the dive shop. The diving was off the charts!! I kept wanting to go back to coral gardens and was never disappointed. The colours and vibrancy of the reef is worth several dives. So many turtles from tray size to table top size and bigger. The equipment and boats are top notch and all in good condition. The food is good and I have a favourite that I would highly recommend. Blackened Chicken. If you are looking for a place to unwind relax with excellent diving then this is the place."
