GV Hotel - Maasin ★
"Hotel was fine and no trouble checking in."
Caimito Beach Hotel ★★★
"I have stayed at this great hotel several times over the years with my wife and kids . We always book two rooms so the kids get their own room next to ours . I have travelled a lot in the Philippines and Thailand , I have to say this is the safest hotel I have ever stayed at . Beautiful rooms , beautiful grounds , fantastic views , great food and a fantastic pool that is accessible 24/7 (remember to keep the noise down) . The staff are immaculately turned out , polite , friendly and professional. WiFi is excellent. The owners Pascal and his lovely wife Eden are the best hosts ever . We have already booked for Christmas and New Year there and we can't wait . Over all the place is so relaxing , we always feel like we are at home when we come here . The city of Maasin is about 5km away , public transport is cheap and easy to use . Although this is a beach hotel the beach is quite small but there are loads of sandy beaches nearby . I hope my honest (if rather long) review helps . Thanks for reading M ."

"Great stay. I love the sunset view 🥰 . Hospitable workers"
J&R Residence ★★★
"My stay at J&R was wonderful. J&R is a small family run resort. The facility is very clean, and the staff was very attentive to my needs. The town of Anda is only a few minutes away. The resort is just far enough from town to feel remote and relaxing, but the town is only a short tricycle ride away. I was happy with the tours I purchased from them. In particular I enjoyed snorkeling off of the trident boat they use for snorkeling tours. The restaurant is very good, and they have a large menu to pick from. Anda is a very relaxing place to visit. This small town has a very laid-back friendly vibe and is a great way experience the Philippines. I spent many hours walking the beach, every morning I saw something new and amazing. I have travel plans for Feb. 2025 and visiting J&R Resort and Anda is on my list! I will return!"
Anda Pearl Premier Resort ★★★
"A small hotel with a narrow strip of beach. Locals flock to the area on weekends. The pool area is busy, making it noisy and bustling. The rooms smell of sewage. After the rain, the balcony was dirty. We asked to clean it, but they ignored us; we asked for a change of towels, but they forgot. Breakfast is a mini-buffet with a minimal selection. Neither the hotel nor its location left a positive impression."
PARKLANE BOHOL RESORT AND SPA ★★★
"Amazing view, great beach, interesting cave experience, and very relaxing experience. Food could be better, but mango shake was fire. Drive from airport is quite long, so hopefully a new nearby airport would open soon!"
Bugnaw Si-E Beach Resort ★★★
"This resort is an example of a location that could be great with some serious changes to their rules and restaurant. The location is beautiful. The view is amazing. The pool and beach are very nice. The rooms are 2-3 star. Clean. Western shower. No hand towels. Faucet water shot everywhere. Hard bed. I was very excited about the breakfast buffet, what a let down. The fresh juice was powdered tang. Coffee was instant. Eggs done one way, cold, fried, and cooked all the way through. One choice of fruit. Cold tapa or linguisa. Rice. That’s not a buffet, that’s a cheap way to save money on included breakfast. Normal breakfast. Poor options. I got tapa. It was cold out of the refrigerator with no sauce and dry. Sunny side eggs cooked through. Friend had an omelette, it was egg, onion, and tomato… no cheese, that’s not an omelette. They need to teach their cooks how to make simple eggs. I skipped breakfast my third morning even though it was free. If you want an amazing included breakfast stay somewhere else. The restaurant was hit and miss. The buttered chicken and sisig were good. The siomai was bad. The squid dishes were oversized squid and hard to even chew. The fried rice was mediocre garlic rice, which is not fried rice at all. Most items were out of stock… no shrimp tempura, no pizza, no hamburger, among other things. The cocktail menu was good, but out of 12-15 cocktails only 3 available. A resort needs a good bar and restaurant, otherwise it’s not a true resort. The waiters do not know the menu. They have to ask the kitchen every time I ask. They also have poor English. Saturday night dinner. They had live music which was extremely loud. We planned on spending on the big platter and multiple cocktails. The loud music was deafening in the restaurant. I could not hear my father or the staff. I requested the music turned down three times. I could see the sound system guy arguing with staff and never turned down. We took our money and spent it in town at a nice restaurant that shows respect to guests. The bar is part of the restaurant it closes at 9pm, so forget a long night. We were playing cards next to the pool being respectful. The guards shut us down at 10:15pm and sent us to our rooms. What the actual hell. Absolutely stunning. Unfortunately this resort could be so much better. Maybe they are not trying to attract foreign tourist dollars. Overhaul your draconian rules, stock your restaurant, and hire a chef."
Blue Star Dive and Resort ★★★★
"Lovely resort with very helpful and friendly staff. The food was excellent with plenty of gluten free options available on request and the snorkelling was amazing. Only thing was the shower head in room 4 was quite bad. Overall we had a nice time."
Island View Beachfront Resort ★★★
"This is a great place, great atmosphere and great staff. We are made to feel like an extended part of the family. The staff are really excellent, friendly and very warm, especially to those who are young and elderly."
