B&B Arena di Lucca

Lovely B&B Lovely friendly B&B right in the centre of Lucca. Although the room was small it had everything you could need and there was also a sitting area by reception which was great. Very comfortable bed, great air conditioning, good shower. We’d definitely stay here again.

Beware - I booked through ******* but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. So I called the B&B to try to make the change but they cannot do this. They saved my room for me but I had to pay for the night I wasn’t there. Annoying. I had a room overlooking the plaza. It’s very noisy with buskers and their sound equipment, for the most part playing music they think Americans would like. Also the volume of diners talking in the street just below, made me want to close the windows much of the time, it was like being at a loud party where you knew no one. It was a great view, so definitely a trade off Monica, who seems to do everything there, was friendly and helpful, but her time there is erratic.
