Palazzo Dipinto was a great hotel in every way -- including location, service, room, bathroom, food, design, the feeling, etc. It was excellent all around! And, yes, I would definitely love to stay in that lovely hotel within that lovely city again!

Excelente hotel en el casco histórico de Lucca, con parking exclusivo con reserva previa, se paga aparte. Si bien el hotel al estar dentro de la ciudad vieja, tiene restricciones para circular libremente con el vehículo, ellos se encargan de gestionar los permisos, no demanda tiempo. No es fácil llegar directamente con el navegador, por lo que tuvimos que dejar el automóvil en el Piazzale Giuseppe Verdi e ir a averiguar cómo llegar hasta allí, una vez explicado es muy sencillo. Hotel moderno, muy confortable. La habitación que contratamos, una suite, excelente, muy amplia y cómoda. Muy bien el cuarto de baño, solo que el receptáculo de la ducha es muy resbaloso. El desayuno muy variado y de excelente calidad, el café muy bueno también. Todo el personal súper gentil especialmente Clara, de la recepción quien nos recibió muy cordialmente y nos hizo excelentes recomendaciones de restaurantes para la cena, recomendación que tomamos y fue perfecta. Muy bien ubicado, a pasos de los lugares interesantes para conocer en Lucca. Muy recomendable, volveríamos.

What a lovely hotel this is, in a relatively quiet location within the city walls, yet only a short distance away from the centre. We received a warm welcome and were escorted to our room at the top of the building. Here we had delightful views over the rooftops of Lucca. The room itself was immaculately clean, sharply decorated and very comfortable. Breakfasts, too, were excellent, served (weather permitting) in the small courtyard at the front of the hotel, by cheerful, helpful staff. Should we return to Lucca we would most definitely choose Palazzo Dipinto again.

This hotel is in the perfect location inside the walled city. The hotel was spotless. Staff were very warm and helpful. Breakfast was great with a good range to choose from. We paid to store our car which was so handy as the staff organise for you but it is slightly expensive. The room is comfortable and clean and we loved the complimentary products. Really happy with our choice and would return.

We have visited Lucca several times but this was the first time we stayed at this hotel, and without question this was the very best we have experienced. Location is superb and staff was fantastic. We had a great room, which was very nicely furnished and a fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was among the best we have experienced on our trip which included eight hotels throughout Italy. Parking at the hotel was available and is highly recommended if you’ll be having a car in Lucca. Bravo!

We stayed three nights in this upscale hotel. Our room at the back was quiet although lacking natural light. Location is inside the old town but at the quieter end. Our rental car GPS struggled to find the hotel, but got us within a block of the entrance. Intuition made us drive a little further through an extremely narrow street to hotel. Driving out from hotel was easier without GPS making mostly left turns. We prebooked the parking space in their small parking garage. Lucca is charming and walkability from hotel was excellent. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was a little limited but sufficient. If you want to explore Lucca, then this is the hotel!

An update to a review I wrote in April. This boutique hotel could not be bettered. Close to all the sites of interest, the staff were so helpful, especially Clara and Alessandro whose interest inspired me to begin writing a mystery novella set in Lucca. We were so impressed by the hotel's style, the tasteful refurbishment of the 13 century palazzo. The array of food on display suited all tastes. We were also thankful for the room's walk-in shower and the closeness to a lift. We have so many happy memories of our visit we will return when the novella is complete.
